I had a chance to spend some time with this one and compares to my ESB/R1 kitbash.

First observations, I like the new helmet and the new gloves are a DREAM. I particularly appreciate the new relaxed hands. The cape? No thank you. My drape cape from Jaxon Xu is a big improvement, but he still looks frumpy. Might be the body, but his pants look more thick and loose than any other Vader I've seen. Am I wrong?

I find myself limited with the amount of futzing I can do, because the belt is TIGHT will not unfasten. I know OWK Vader had a "stuck" belt you had to slide down his legs and boots to actually remove. Is that the case here? If so, it is not budging. The belt is even tighter than the codpiece, so it has to rest above it. Not a fan.

My helmet did have a few scuffs and scratches on it, but after some buffing with cape cod polishing cloth it looks better.

Lastly, if anyone was wondering if the ROTJ helmet can fit on the OWK/R1 body, it can indeed.

Can you provide more info on this cape cod polishing cloth? Are they available in stores? My cursory research makes it seem like they are primarily for cleaning scratches off watches.

My original dome had some noticeable paint scratches, and the replacement had some light scratches that I decided I could live with. If it's possible to remove them, I'd like to give it a shot.

The belt can definitely come off just a little more work than usual. You can’t really move the boxes due to the wiring and a kind of tape on the backside of the belt but the built is basically the same as all previous with just a little reenforment around the hole that the pin goes into. It is tight. I use a flat ended plastic tool to help I snap the belt so I wouldn’t damage it pulling it apart

Cape cod cloths is a polishing cloth. Can be easily found on eBay. It’s what a lot of people , myself included , used to make the last mandalorian armor super shiny as it took off the layer of dirt and grime HT applied and helped the armor to shine. You can’t probably find a tutorial on YouTube about shining up the mandalorian armor to see how to do it. It sure how it would work on the Vader helmet though as have not used it there

As Deathstalker said, they are polishing cloths and indeed mostly used for polishing metal, but they help add shine to any plastic pieces that are supposed to look glossy. JazzInc used some for his ANH Vader mods way back when. I got mine off Amazon.

Again, I was not able to remove mine completely, but here is a before and after:

I was curious what a straight body swap to the OWK Vader would look like for ROTJ pieces. Everything is compatible EXCEPT that darn belt! It's a few sizes too small for the OWK body plus the outfit and vest. Maybe it would fit without the fatsuit but I did not check. The belt barely fits on the ROTJ body and costume as it is.

Here is the OWK body and ANH belt, with ROTJ everything else. Arms are avle to sit closer to the body, allowing for a more natural stance.

If you swap the ROTJ shoulder armor for the OWK/R1 shoulder armor, you get some more neck movement.

And here is the stock ROTJ next to my kitbash.

If the objective is to get the arms to sit closer the the body you can just cut the underarm are of the flexible chest piece on the ROTJ body as well. It’s what a lot of people did with the anh body

Thank you for sharing this. It definitely looks like the OWK/RO body with the slight height increase really helps the proportions of the ROTJ figure. Sucks about the belt though.

It’s good for the look of a cool figure and Hayden, but not Prowse.
This. The best option is to give RoTJ Vader the OWK boots, they are more OT screen accurate and does give a little height boost with the longer pegs.

Ideally the shoulder bells from OWK would also been on the RoTJ chest armor, the armor itself is screen accurate but the black shoulder pauldrons are only screen accurate on the OWK armor. I have both and may look into swapping them, it looks like a simple razor blade and reglue job, but if anyone has done it before I'm all ears.

I can’t argue one way or the other on the accuracy of this body to Prowse. However, I would argue that in combination with slightly-too-large helmet and shoulder armor, and suit fabric that does not translate very well to 1/6 scale, it creates a total package that is less Prowse looking than the other body.

The longer limbs of the OWK body, however inaccurate to David Prowse it may be, helps balance out some of these other issues and makes an overall better impression. At least to my eyes.

Do you mean the belt boxes?
Oh yeah, whoops, the belt boxes.

The way my cape often drapes I can only see part of the boxes, lights are half covered. Be nice to have a wired version that is a bit more visible but I think these are the only two options for that.

Also curious if the depth of the boxes are the same.

The boxes are a tad closer to the buckle on the OWK version. Maybe a mm at most. Not enough to make a huge difference. The depth is the same on both.
