Folks can argue about the price, the power pose or even if they want to get the HS in the first place; but I'll admit that nothing is more fun in this hobby than lifting a big ass figure out of the box for the first time.

Although as the SS Grievous shows, if another company made the armor, it might not be able to stand on its own.

Let's be brutally honest here, most companies can make figures that stand on their own, it's just SS. It's almost like they have a guy in the factory who's job it is to make sure every screw and joint is loose on every single figure that goes out the door.

And this is going to be one BIG figure.

8 points of articulation ?! 😫😭 He can't even Stomp!🤬

They don't even call this a power pose. I knew this corner cutting would start to creep into regular figures.

:dunno

It's numbered PPS07. It is a Power Pose figure. The descriptions I read all say it is.

Based on the highly-anticipated series, What If…?, Sideshow and Hot Toys present The Hydra Stomper Sixth Scale Collectible Figure as the new addition to the Power Pose Series.

Probably something only I care about, but did a little digging regarding the size of this figure as was thinking it might be worth getting to display next to Hulkbuster to show off the incredible size. However, both Hot Toys and Sideshow's images marketing for the height/size of this figure is in fact misleading. The 22" height for the Hydra Stomper is with Cockpit open for Steve to be standing in. The actual height to the top of his head is a bit under 20 inches and Hulkbuster is actually 22 inches tall. The image below shows the marketed height/size in relation to Hulkbuster vs the actual size. Still a huge figure, but would not be as impressive in the display I was imagining.

That pricing...hurts. I do love the Steve, though. I kind of wish he was offered separately as well.

100% pass for retail pricing. Will pick him up when he inevitably goes on sale in the secondary market like every hot toys figure is doing these days.

If the hydra stomper acrually showed up in an mcu movie this would be better rexeived. Otherwise I say wait until next year and get it 25% off.

Static legs, looks flimsy and hollow AF, basic packaging. This is very much a release to fill some sort of quota, no care or thought went into this at all. Not that I care.
