Iron, you and some other keep talking about the haters bashing it. I don't know of many haters in this thread. Most have said they liked it or even loved it, but there were things about it they didn't like, or that they don't believe it should get best picture. That doesn't make them haters.

No not on here just in general , i was watching somthing about some guy complianing about how avatar might lose to hurt locker. imo avatar shouldnt win becuase that just means more hatred toward it, hurt locker should win to make everyone happy.

I don't think Hurt Locker was better then Avatar though, they are two very different genres. Hurt Locker was good but, i think people have too much faith in this movie, i thought it had a weak ending, and was some what short, or at least felt short.

I would say sadly, the only real blockbusters i enjoyed last year was Inglorious Basterds(well first 3/4 of it anyway) and Star Trek.

I personally would only rank Avatar above one film thats nominated this year. Blindside. It's not a bad film, but outside the tech it's not something I'd ever care to see again.

Avatar should nearly sweep the tech awards. Can't deny it's visual impact. But Best Picture? nope....not by a long shot. (but then, I'm still reeling over Crash getting best pic so anything can happen)

It deserves BEST COSTUME. Seriously, nothing comes close to the greatness of this costume...

Im a huge GI Joe fan, but the movie I will never watch. They just used the Brand to try and sell it. Its a joke. How anyone could be entertained by such garbage is beyond me.

However, some polls are saying The Hurt Locker may win. I just bought the DVD, hope its lives up.

They should just give awards to every nominee. Would be the most radical Oscar show ever, not to mention least predictable for the first half hour or so.

Well im just throwing it out thier but jennifers body should win best picture of the year, and a tyler perry movie should definatly replace precious becuase thiers more cliche drama in Madea goes to wherever. So this is my opnion take it or leave it
