I liked the AVP alien figure, but not enough to pick one up, but I am really excited about this one. It just looks awesome. I can't wait to add it to my collection. Unfortunately, I'm gonna wait on my Sideshow pre-order because I need the time to save the money. All these pics are really getting me stoked, though.

Yep. Looks like I'm gonna have to break down and order a case from asia.

Not sure what connections and deals you may be able to come by, but I found this guy on eBay and was happy with the transaction.

eBay Hicks Snap Kit

At one point he had them all available.

There's also this auction for a full set together.

I got all of the marines snap kits except for Apone. I've got Drake, Ripley, and Hicks. I also have one alien warrior. Another cool thing about the egg cases that the snap kits come in is that they're pretty much to scale with the HT 12" figures! They look great next to them on display. I hope to get an Apone snap kit soon. They didn't make a Hudson, Vasquez, or any other of the marines yet. But the snap kits do seriously rock! :D

That second one was the guy I was considering. I've bought from both dealers. Good and dependable. Wish I could find them stateside.

The guy selling Hicks is in Massachusetts, which was a plus for me too, transaction took like 2 days from me paying to them getting to me cuz the dealer's about an hour from me :)

Yeah, I got all of my ALIENS snap-kits from that seller, banthatrader, that's selling Hicks now. Once again Hicks is the "holy grail" of that set too. Hence the higer price for him over any of the other snap-kits in that set. Banthatrader is a nice guy, very reliable, great service. I plan on getting the Sgt. Apone snap-kit I need from him someday soon. :D

In celebration of the release of the 1/6 warrior, here's a repost of some snap kits images I took, pretty soon, I'll be able to do this with 1/6 versions of both characters :)

Indeed you will! Nice pics, especially like this one. I'm really looking forward to seeing your 1:6 scale version of this scene! Shouldn't be much longer now...:D

Btw, Kotobukiya has a retail outlet in Osaka where I finally picked up Apone and now have doubles on all but Ripley. Just need two of the BD Aliens to complete the set! The aliens are especially nice little figures, but gotta love those marines, too.

Wow, Facebox! Where'd you find that picture? Do they have more pictures of that great display? I see Hot Toys Rambo, Rocky in there and....that little yellow thing we all want! :D

I'd love to see more pictures of that great display? Do you have a URL link for more? Let me know here. Thanks!

I found it while searching Google.
I was trying to find a picture of the new Ripley sculpt.

I unfortunatly missed out on any of the marines and now couldnt find the first three with out shelling out the big bucks . but I will keep searching

That's awesome news Les.

Are you gonna do any sculpting corrections on it? I imagine that is quite an extraordinary task, BUT then again you ARE the figuremaster... curious...

Not sure P. I will assess and collate...aka ASH from ALIEN..."Still collating"...
With it being so much rubber, especially in the chest area, not sure.
I know I want to change the legs, especially the calves, and maybe the arms some, but if he is workable, I can leave most of the rubber alone.
I do like the odd ribbing protrusions on the back, along the spine. How they stick out further than normal. That is cool.

And, I hope there is a way to pack the ribcage a bit, so it doesn't look so caved in in front as it does.

Otherwise, we shall see....

But, in hand, I can tell more.
Looking forward to all your photos, those who are expecting one soon. :D

Details! The Devil's in the details! :naughty

What changed your mind Les? Thought you hated this figure?

You did Dave. I am not fond of it, but it might be "adaptable".
You spoke. I listened. You made sense.
I will give it a shot.

Well, it's not the mega figure we alien uber geeks were hoping for, but it's not easy to just say no to such an amzing figure!
