For those who like the songs in the movie. (I just can't remember the classic orchestra song and the song mentioned during the '2nd operation'.)

The 3d was amazing. The NYC chase had me sitting up in excitement. I haven't felt that buzz since Anakin vs Obi-Wan's fight in 2005.

NYC Chase in 3D, Nice!

Wait.....

Prequel Trilogy....

Ohhhhhhh

Here it's because the Sanctum Sanctorum is in NYC, then the action switches to Hong Kong. I must watch it again. It's a bloody great film. There were several moments where I literally said 'JESUS CHRIST' with the visuals. It's out Friday everywhere else. HT would be wise to show or at least tease a figure of Mordo or Kaecilius if they're making one.

Spoiler question:

What song does Christine Palmer test Stephen Strange with while she's operating him?

Saw this twice now... I think this is the best origin movie by Marvel so far, next to Iron Man.

Loved Tilda Swinton here. Her performance was one of the highlights for me. The visuals were really great as well. Really trippy.

Some other thoughts:
  • It follows the general Marvel formula, but it works really well.
  • I think the humor here was better than what it was for Ant Man
  • Loved the end-credits scenes.
  • Really like how Strange resolved the final conflict.
  • The movie did portray the passage of time as well as I'd like. The director said it happened about a year ago with Strange's training taking a year to complete. It falls back in sync with the rest of the MCU at the end of the film. Which means the Air Force Colonel who got injured in an experimental suit was not Rhodey (also confirmed by the director).
