So I guess they are going with ABS from now on. :monkey2

:lol

Don't say I didn't warn you!

As for repeats in the PF line, I am actually hoping that one day they will give us a PF version of Sam carrying Frodo up the slopes of Mount Doom. One of the most powerful moments in the entire trilogy that has had zero representation in the collectible world as far as I can remember. That PF would sum up everything important to me about LOTR and would instantly be one of my all time favorite pieces.

Pardon my Tolkien lore, but I believe all of us remember that moth he speaks to when he called about the eagles... how about having THAT as the exclusive....

the staff and Glamdring is all too common huh??

P.S. By the way, does That moth actually has a name??

The Palantir would be a great exclusive. Just to have really.

I don't care to own a PF of Sam carrying Frodo. That's not how I want them in my collection. The moment is powerful and one I love but that makes a better Dio IMO.

I agree with Josh, a PF should focus on a specific character, rather than just a specific scene and the interaction between characters. That is better suited to dioramas.

Not to mention what the world would the cost be for something like that. PF are exspensive enough already. :rotfl

Eeek!! You might have just talked me out of that PF with that picture.

I think a diorama would be too small. I like my statues big. Looking at the size of the existing Frodo PF and adding in a Sam, I don't think the overall size, complexity or expense would be out of the realm of possibility if you look at something like Grievous. But if they make it in a diorama I would buy it.

It would just be so small...

I love the size of the dioramas, my display just doesn't have much room left after the dedication to SSW.

Bring on a Trevor Sam carrying Frodo dio :monkey5

Yeah, like Chuck a Dio like that would fit what display room I have left. That would be one PF I would pass on most likely do to size and $$$.

What might the exclusive be? It could very well be the grey cloak, unless they decide to go with a later appearance for him. The contrasting grey would really help make the white robes 'shine'! A light-up feature for his staff would also be outstanding. We've all been waiting so patiently for such a long time, maybe they'll reward us by making BOTH of them exclusives!

I would LOVE to see this pose.

This would be an excellent pose and would show off Glamdring, rather than just having it sheathed. I'd personally like to have him posed in mid-spin, wielding Glamdring in one hand and his staff in the other, as he did when he and Pippin were defending the upper gates, spinning and wailing the crap out of all those charging orcs! That would perfectly capture the power and essence of "Gandalf the White, Defender of Middle-earth", imo.

Btw, does anyone honestly believe the next 12" will actually be Gandalf the Grey? It's possible they might do that just to keep us quiet for a while. My guess is one of the bad guys next, but I'd be glad to have any character at this point.

I would be happy with that pose as well. Something with a little action to it anyways.

As far as the next 12" I would love it to be GTG but I do think it might be a bad guy.

This announcement is a little bittersweet. There were three LOTR PF's that I was planning on buying; Frodo, Gandalf the White, and Aragorn. Having GTW as the next one will definitely affect my impulse buys from other lines. :lol

I also think Gandalf should have changeable magnetic hands like lurtz so you can have him holding his sword or staf or both. That should not be exclusive though.

No, he'll be more. I expect he'll be closer to $300-$325.

Ouch... and here I thought Gandalf the White might have been my first LOTR PF--- well he still might... maybe.:gandalf_w
