that's cause I am good fusser :lol
But seriousely, being in this hobby I realize and on this forum the same figure can look great or like a cheap doll depending on how much effort and time you put in to fuss and pose it. Also at times pictures don't do justice when everything looks fine in hand but real small flaws only come into light only when you zoom in and blow up the image.
I will take it back out of the box maybe tonight and take some pictures. Wanted to do that anyways to show my BD chest being of a strange maroonish red...

I'm a pretty big fusspot myself. I really appreciate every detail that Hot Toys puts into a toy so I can't help but get myself worked up and worried over inconsistencies like this. A clean chest piece which doesn't fit in as well with the BD chest piece is as good as going back to square one with both switching places to me. I just pray that I'll be getting what you, dedguy and darthjuan got at the end :pray: The ebay seller abc-express told me that his batch was the fresh one that he only got recently so it's not the old batch for sure. When I was worried about this I actually wanted to ask him to give me the old batch if he could since I preferred displaying my Iron Man lineups in clean and shiny armor.

Couple of bad phone pics. Not as blown away as I was when I first got the MK IV, but he's still an amazing figure. I pretty much bought it solely for the triangle ARC reactor and the silver in the color scheme. :lol But I had $225 in credit at my LCS so it's all the sweeter when I don't have to pay actual money for it.

Finished up brief second part of my review of the figure found here.

I'm glad I got it with the exception of the battle damaged alignment problem.

The battle damaged parts look fantastic and was the biggest draw for me since I already had the Mark IV. Now the wait begins for the Mark V...which is just around the corner.

Not exaggerating I spent at least a half hour on this pose. The head pose is a cheat as it's not even seated on the ball-joint just precariously perched. I did some tweaking of it while taking photos too. Some of them are fairly similar but there's some slight variations in pose and camera angle.

Obviously inspired a bit by the Sideshow statue's pose.

Nice pics Otaku Surf.

By the way, is that Yamashiro in the background?

Some damn nice shots in here. Great poses I think as well. Always like seeing those since I go with more "boring" musem type poses.

Man, I'm seriously considering cutting the ball joint out the torso on my Mark VI and IV. The is almost never actually seated on it anyway. Will allow better range of movement for the neck and also have it sit lower in the body a bit which will make it look more screen accurate.

Much appreciated guys!

@Centurion
It's actually Kyoto, but I have been to Yamashiro...excellent food there!

do the back flaps not stay flush on anyone else's? Every time I grab him it seems like my finger slides up in there and just about rips them off, plus they stick out like a sore thumb.

Nope, even with bending I have never been able to get them to lay flat on either the Vi or IV.
