Not sure where to put this discussion because I don't want to start a new thread. Back when we first saw pics of War Machine I noticed a lot of distinct visual features that through design showed that it was basically built over the Mark II armor.

I say this to maybe lend a little credence clearwater revival to this theory of mine. The more I see of the Mark 7 the more it's looking like it's a new armor either built on the Mark III chasis or built based on the Mark III design specs. It shares a lot of design with the Mark III and has the same silhouette (as opposed to the more human silhouette of the Mark IV and VI) with the III.

It also bears some resemblance to Saunders' original Iron Man designs for a part of the plot that was never realized. Basically that Stark added a bunch of weapons over the Mark III to fight Iron Monger (then the Crimson Dynamo).

Trying to score me a Mark VI on eBay so I am hoping I get one. Also I have been curious as to what the Iron Man suit will look like in The Avengers. I had noticed in the teaser we see after Captain America you notice Tony is wearing what looks to be the Mark VI but maybe he upgrades his suit later on in the movie. My hope for Iron Man 3 is we might possibly see him dawn the Hullkbuster suit but that is probably a small possibility but I can dream.

...so it looks like my Mk.6 has apparently 'disappeared' on its way from Hong Kong to Australia. SO pissed off right now!

I finally scored me an Ironman MK IV, pretty happy about it, but now I’m kind of torn. Do I do what it looks like others are doing and keep the Robert Jr. head, neck, neck armor, doughnut box, doughnut, glasses, flexible finger hands and the light up base? Then put the remainder of the set (basically a complete Ironman) on EBay as a partial set, then bid and try to win a MK VI . I would really have in my opinion the ultimate custom Ironman, I can have him fully helmeted, face plate up or down, and helmet completely off.

I’d have three different bases to change around and pose him on, and an extra pair of flexible finger hands to put on my original MK III Ironman that I plan on keeping. I’d have the Battle Damage parts; he’d go with War Machine better (in my opinion) and he’d have the shoulder missiles that I think the MK IV doesn’t have.

Or should I just continue to be happy with just the MK IV and forget about getting a MK VI (can’t really afford to have both) and hope that in the Avengers Movie Ironman goes back to the round Arc Reactor so that my Ironman doesn’t look outdated again?

I know partial Ironmans are selling on EBay and that could help pay for the MK IV, but I really don’t know now. Which Ironman is the most posable and has the most features? Would it be worth it to you to have all that?

Wow that sucks, sorry to hear. Where did you buy it from? Shipped insured?

ebay seller - not insured I don't think :monkey2
Was tracked postage ...you can clearly see in the tracking info it was logged into Hong Kong dispatch and then just seems to disappear. No updates, no further info.

Hong Kong post office is investigating.

Ok, I sold something on eBay to a person in South Australia; shipped via EMS/Speedpost on 17th August, tracking shows that the package left the country on 18th but there's no update after that. Today's the 10th working day and no news yet. Guess it does take some time to send stuff to Australia, I read it in this this thread too, say around 2-3 weeks. When did your's get shipped? Just wait, sometimes there can be delays.

I've been through the same MkIV vs MkVI dilemma as well, before I got my MkIV. After giving it much thought for days, I ultimately decided that getting the MkIV, and keeping it, is the better choice..

Then again, it's all a matter of personal preference. I'm not a marvel fan (well at least not before I got my MkIV :lol) but I had always thought that the circle arc reactor is the more definitive look. [insert pro-triangle argument here]

About the battle damage, i thought that if i were to display only one IM figure in my collection, i wouldnt be displaying him in an all-beat-up look. About that open faceplate, it works great and complements war machine, but I'd rather display IM with the almost perfect RDJ head sculpt that came with the MkIV.

The only contrary [for me] really is that, the Mark VI complements war machine better by a bit because of the movie. (but take note that some promotional posters of IM2 had WM and MkIV side-by-side)

:exactly: I have to agree with this; have hope buddy :)

Thanks for the info.

29th today and no update on the website!

My biggest concern is I've received other deliveries from Hong Kong shipped after this ship date that arrived more than a few days ago.

sometimes there is a lag...and i hope that is what it is for you SAB.
i got a parcel shipped from the states here to OZ...it took just over 3 and a half weeks...$1600USD...i was stressing to the max...other items that id bought off the seller AFTER the first initial purchase came BEFORE the first ordered items.
I can now safely say that my statues arrived in perfect condition.I hope the same happens for you.

That happens, I was told multiple times before by the employees at my post office, they don`t always scan the parcels to update the info. Happened to me and because it probably has a high value that it just might take a bit longer through customs and all that fun candy. I`d contact the guy but wouldn`t worry too much for another week. Good luck to you!

Guys, thanks for the info and positive thinking. Much appreciated

Got my Mark VI about a week ago. Finally took a few quick photos.
Also, anyone else notice that the instructions state the battery type as AG1? They are actually LR621 batteries. At least, the ones in the neck/head are.
