Hi guys,

Just finished my repaint of this HT Robocop.

These pics aren't final. It's quite dark here so I had to use a lot of lighting to take these pictures, which kinda washes out some of the reflections.

I'll take better sunlight pics tomorrow :)

Hope you like him

That looks incredible, you got some serious skill man:clap:clap:clap

I really hope hot toys does make a Robocop 2 and not only give up a paint job like this but also ditch the rubber knees and elbows, not sure if or when they may rot but I don't like worrying about a figures life span that I drop 300-400 dollars on, I shouldn't have to at that price range.

Yay, mine has shipped and will get here Friday, but with my luck, it'll end up being Monday due to some issue as always...

That is an awesome repaint, I wish I knew how to do that. :clap

Great job, Dark Spidey. You really nailed the look.
:rock :hi5:

Got shipping info for mine yesterday, finally. Will be with me either tomorrow, or thursday.
Seriously can´t wait anymore.
My first ever RoboCop figure.
:panic: :yess:

thanks so much, guys :)

I just took some more pictures and while the rest are uploading I thought I'd post this one here.

I just love how accurate the face is on this Robo.

Just saw your video of the RC2 repaint on youtube and I am even more blown away by your custom paint job!!!! You've got a really good eye for subtle shading and detail and your skills with an airbrush are freaking impressive!!! Really looking forward to seeing your RC1 version. Awesome work, man!

Robocop arrived today from Alterego. For the price I felt it was lacking in diecast and accessories but I'm still happy to have him in my collection. He is definitely too silver but it's not enough to ruin the look. It may be just me but has anyone notice that the plastic Hot Toys used on this felt really creaky and hollow compared to their Iron Man figures. I'm really hoping the Murphy head from the battle damage version will fit on this.

I quite like the look of it but have to wait for mine to turn up at my retailers, materials was I'd say it sounds disappointing but as long as it looks good in hand I guess that's all that matters. :)

Just picked it up from sideshow. How should I treat the rubber. Thanks to all in advance.

I used Honda Shin-Etsu grease. It's a silicon lubricant. There's others you could use - but avoid WD-40 and similar, I've read bad things.

Modge podge was popular on the ED-209s.

Modge Podge is a sealant, isn't it? Not sure how that would hold up on constantly moving parts.

Yes, I have commented on how creaky robo is

Modge for already cracked domes, grease to prevent the cracking
