After all these years in the industry HT insists that clear plastic can be used on these figures. Even their non-clear plastic sockets do break (most often neck sockets), it's head-scratching that they seem to not care.

All these images and complaints about this and that being broken out of the box, the rubber parts possibly deteriorating etc. Aaaargh. Will now need to keep close watch on mine.

The only issue with mine is that the voice feature seems to randomly switch itself OFF. i.e. it stops responding to the remote until you flip the power switch off and on again. Not sure why it does that, others have had similar problems. Not that I care about said feature.

That's not a problem or a defect; that's how it is intentionally designed. It's a bad design, but it is intentional. I assume it is intended to save battery power, but it kinda makes the remote useless if you ask me.

Just finished my repaint of this HT Robocop.

These pics aren't final. It's quite dark here so I had to use a lot of lighting to take these pictures, which kinda washes out some of the reflections.

Yep, I figured it was a design choice rather than some sort of bizarre glitch. It does indeed make the remote entirely pointless, actually forget the remote, the on/off switch itself is entirely pointless before we even get to the remote.

If Hot Toys released a Robocop 2 version that looked like that, even with the problems I've had with the rubber sections I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

In watching robo again, there were very little shots that both purple and blue weren't apparent

He's only that noticeably blue in 2, though. 1 and 3 he's more a gunmetal grey on-screen, with blue, green and purple accents.



Hot Toys Robocop 2 with blue/purple finish, new damaged chest and helmet, new faceplates and cobra assault cannon, yes/no?
