Decided to take a chance and get ED. 40% off plus the rewards was too much to pass up. Crossing my fingers he arrives with no cracks!

Maybe next Christmas. I'd be pissed if he went on sale so soon. :lol

Yeah, I think ED 209 is just not selling well and has been out for like over a year right? Also the negative stuff about the dome doesn't help it either, so like the monica lewinski scandal they are just sweeping it under the rug.

I think it came out around June, which is more telling about the huge price drop
Wish I was patient and got him for about $200 cheaper.

Ugh, hell yeah. Would've paid major dividends not to pre-order ED but these things are unpredictable. So long as it doesn't rot w/o an alternative, I'd still say ED was worth $400.00 retail. It's a beautiful figure with major shelf presence and the fears over the dome shouldn't detract from that. At $250.00 plus $50.00 in rewards, no way would I pass. The dome may never deteriorate for many and someone eventually will come out with a replacement.

Also people almost never get the villain without the hero first. And at 300 bucks your talking alotta money to have both.

Even if it is $258 I can't see why anyone would want to buy an item that's just gonna rot away on you within 6 months or less. Its very telling why theres a price drop on this item both at sideshow and bbs. They must know by now its a lost cause trying to sell this item given the backlash about the rotting rubber.

Thats what im sayin. Its also getting damn past time for them to get their **** together and keep figures from rotting. Esp if they want to charge what they charge.

Yeah, I'd agree that they shouldn't have used rubber at all, but you guys are taking liberties by saying each and every one "will rot away in 6 months". That simply is not accurate. Yeah, it might or it might not -- especially if preventative measures are taken, like the silicone grease or Mod Podge. There's a lot of EDs that still look great and it's been longer than 6 months. $200.00 for this huge figure is not bad at all.

I agree. I bit at the $258 shipped price during Spooktacular. Had him for nearly a month now and so far no changes in the rubber. Plus this figure was released in April I believe, which means he was boxed in a warehouse for at least six months before I recieved him.

At $258 with double reward points, I was willing to take a chance. And I'm feeling pretty confident that with the grease or mod podge, I'd be able to extend the rubber's life for as long as I care to own him.

Call me crazy but im not paying so much for a fig to HAVE to go get products to keep it safe. If they want to use cheap rubber fine i get it keep the cost down, but then they should be putting their own clear coat on it if they really care about quality but as time goes on they dont.

That Mod Podge solution really is something else. And at $6 a bottle, its a no-brainer.

ED for $258 and $55 back is really TOO good.

Having a 1/6 Robo on its own really makes no sense. Ordered. Third time's the charm.
