From my angle, it almost looks like it is glowing from behind and yes, well done and not just because you made me an avatar although that helps a little...:)

I can almost picture what it will look like when you're complete, good job indeed.

Thank you sir and yes, it does glow from behind.

The crown up ontop with the logo works well....

You should put a sliding curtain in front of the plexiglass and a .25 cents slot on the corner and then put a 1:6 scale janitor with mop in hand outside the box and it can be your Batman Porn Both....a quickie nudie stop in Gotham Times Square per se....

Joker in nurses outfit can be added for additional effect....

Title it:

"The Gruesome Twosome!"

Now, that being said.....keep working on what you're doing and just ignore everything I just wrote....

:p

Ok, i'm finished now.....

Your display has now returned to normal land...

Ohh, and you have my approval on its design, you may continue working on it at your leisure....

:p

Isn't there a trick that can be done with the logo... like say blue backing paper... or stained perspex... I've seen something like this before to fake the colour while it shines down in the box. I just can't remember how they done it that it did not appear the logo was covered.

I thought it would never end!

Promise....done..

So, you're a carpenter...

That display is going to look really nice....no doubt about that...

But when I think of the new Batman movies, I imagine "High Tech".

Not that the good wood won't look classy, it always does, I just keep picturing a higher tech, carbon fiber, chromish, glass, metallic with sharp edges and shiny display case for him, maybe surounded with some sharp looking rocks in the background as the bat cave....

Yeah, something like that....

My batman doesnt seem very stable. I'm pretty new to articulated figures and I was just wondering if you guys have any tips to get him to stand up without the stand. Is it just a matter of patience?

Yep, I'm a carpenter and as far as those elements you mentioned, I'm including some of them in this design already. Like I said, I'm far from done with it. It's just a baby right now. It'll have more of a classic look when I'm done but still have a very TDK feel to it.

Keep us posted with images.....

can't wait for the final product...

making it is half the fun and then showing it off is the other half and then feedback is the icing on the cake...

Not just you.

Most of the reviews i'm reading pays kudos to the well articulated ankles, which they are BUT most fail to mention that with that articulation comes weakness unlike the Takara which has tank for ankles, that bad boy never falls down, no need for a stand with him.

It's my main complaint with the HT, mine already took a dive and broke 2 of the right arm gaunlet blades (thank god at the base so easily repaired) and it was a face dive no less so i'm just happy that the pointy noise didn't go flat!

Someone on here gave a solution to use kleenex and toilet paper inside the boot. I still have to try. Right now i'm using that not so great stand.

The stand can actually begin to leave a mark on the rubber in the inner thighs if your're not careful.

Belive me, i'm not ragging on the HT, it kicks butt!

Just don't feel that your're alone with those wobbly ankles.

Heck, I would also have wobbly ankles if I was in Hong Kong jumping off high rises into windows.

See, it fits the movie perfectly so it's ok. We fans will always find a reason for any defects.

:p

Ouch ouch ouch, jye4ever. Major bummer. At these prices I'm too scared to be a little careless with them.

I agree about the Takara, I've bumped the desk and he still remains standing.

I agree....but that being said and on the other side of the coin, no need to baby him either, he's pretty durable from what i've tested.
Well, other than those little guantlets.

I say find a really good pose you like and leave him be.

Yup, he's expensive. Shipping from China made the price a bummer and I got him at 185 WITH shipping.

I feel sorry for the people buying today. Without shipping they're 200 plus now, doh!

You are a true fan indeed sir :lol Thanks for the paper tip, Ill give it a shot tonight.

Even though ActionHQ has it marked down as sold out, "Sorry, this item is currently unavailable. Please check back again at a later time". If it ever does come back in, it's priced at a whopping US$229.95 :google

Toys2 wont have it in until "Pre-order of 2nd Wave Batman: available in Oct, 2008" US$159.99. Cheaper than BBTS $174.99, however BBTS had them in stock. That is now listed under backorder.

So glad I managed to get it. I dunno, but is this one getting harder to get a hold of? or is it just the sheer demand...

But no neon lights...

please..no shumacher batman ever ever again....

I just saw part of Batman Forever this past weekend. What a siht film. It doesn't hold up in any shape or form. And Jones' Two-Face was an embarrassment. All that jumping in place, cackling, and tilting his head sideways while he hoots. Ugh!

As you can tell by my pictures, my specialty isn't taking photos nor using photoshop (I don't even own it).

But it's truly amazing how a simple flash on my 5 megapixel camera can either make the suit grayish charcoal when it's not used or just black when it's used. For instance, look at the contrast of the belt against the suit, that's where it realy makes a difference for me.

Taking pictures is fun, having a subject as awesome as this HT Batman makes me want to learn more, more, more about photography, photoshopping effects and backgrounds and building a case to show him off!

Man, my sister is a professional computer artist for Disney, why the heck did I get into medicine!

She doesn't even like Batman...sheesh!
