Amazing shot Maulfan! :bow You'd be hard pressed to find someone that wasn't in "the know" that could tell that wasn't a real pic of Bale!

Guys,

Do you have any tips on how to care for the rubber suit of the fig? I dont want the suit to be cracked or something like that due to the rubber material

the more i see this figure in my display case the more i am tempted to cancel my tdk suit batman. this costume and figure epitomize the batman concept in my opinion. he actually looks intimidating, the tdk suit looks more cool in a tech sense but it doesnt intimidate me.

You're intimidated by a 12" Batman figure?

Man, I can't imagine what a Premium Format would do to your nerves!

:p

Actually, I agree. The new suit is more tech savy but not as "menacing" but his face and cowl might be "meaner" looking with the new suit vs the original because from what I've been reading (and basing of the pics) it's definately a different expression.

Lets see.

I got mine today. I was a bit underwhelmed by the suit. It has stress marks on one of the arms already and I only moved the arm twice. The headsculpts are fantastic though! Really, really good. I like this figure but won't be messing with it too much. Not sure what hands to put on it at the moment.

lol yes i pee myself whenever i walk into my room because of the batman staring at me.

Where? the wrinkles where the arms bend?

Mine had them to, I believe they all do.

Rubber suit.....it is what it is....

I'm more upset that his ankles are so weak and he's so top heavy that the stand HAS to be used!

It's a shame to, his boots are so awesome looking.

I'll take stronger ankles any day of the weak vs the wrinkles in the rubber.

The wrinkles are normal looking to me, it looks natural because that is where the mould of where the arms bend. If it was firm or completely smooth it would crack over time I would think. Or may not hold the tight arm poses and bounce back like the Takara usually does. Unless you bunched up the rubber for it to hold.

Personally, I prefer the stand. Mainly because it has the Batman name plate. I wanted something like that for the Takara.

Agree on the rubber...

Don't agree with your stand comment though.

No stand = more realistic to my eyes because at the end of the day, we're paying this kind of money for as much realism as possible (hence pictures being posted trying to make him look as if it's really Christian Bale) and using a stand removes some of that.

All good though, different strokes for different folks....

Yes I was referring to where the arms bend. I know it is to be expected. I think it is more a fear it will tear or something. Overall the figure looks great.

I think you'll find that those wrinkles are part of the sculpt, just like the ones on his boots. Gives a greater sense of authenticity - if everything was exactly smooth and straight it would look unnatural.

Well said....

wrinkles are a part of life,

They're on your face, your shirt and your Batmans...

The wrinkles on the boots are breathtaking. When I first seen them it reminded me of the 1989 Batman. The details Hot Toy's put in these are immense.

I agree. The original suit is more menacing compared to the new suit.

I like the crease on the elbow as that will help eliminate the risk of breakage on that part.

However, the armpit area may have higher risk of breakage as it seems to stretch to its limit when you pose the arms up.

Even though I have had this figure for awhile I never posted a picture.
So now that I have a school assignment in which I have to shoot a sort of portait, I thought what better subject to shoot then my Hot Toys Batman :)

So here he is :
