The exclusives are limited and not available to all markets and people so a normal figure, a unique figure, a coveted figure should never ever be a toy fair exclusive. These are just like the SDCC exclusives or wizard world exclusives that other company's do. Your list is full of figures that would be standard issue releases not show exclusive type figures. You don't seem to understand the point of these figures.

They are low cost, lower production figures used to incentivize attendance to shows.

They have done unique characters as exclusives before... why should that matter at all?
Hot Toys can do whatever the hell they want as an Summer exclusive.

Take Angelica for instance... completely new figure with original costume and headsculpt.
In comparison, Pepper, Agent Carter, Nebula or Maria Hill would all fit the same blueprint as her.

Maria Hill should be first in line, considering how many times the character has appeared on the
big AND small screen Marvel Universe.

SWAT Gordon was another, Joe Colton was yet another.

And ya know... something for us collectors that DON'T want every single armor that had 0.25 seconds of
actual screen time.

So you use non iron man armors to prove they make non iron man armors in the same breath you ***** they only make iron man armors?

You noticed that those three you mentioned where cheaper licenses and not marvel. Gordon was a reused/adjusted so the same as repaint with new cloths that could have come from one of hot toys non hero lines...POTC is a cheap license...as is go joe.

Swat Gordon was the first use of that sculpt and the first release of that character, so it was pretty coveted at the time. Sometimes HT will use the con exclusives as a means of selling a figure they are not sure will be hugely popular, like the Scarecrow and Demon Batman.

Im guessing the other exclusives will be Maria Hill and Ra's Al Ghul

Since they have always done three figures, and Iron Man is the first, I really don't see Maria Hill being another one since typically they do one per company. ie. One Marvel, one DC and one Star Wars, etc. I don't see them doing a 2nd Marvel, this is it.

Looks like I have more money to spend at SDCC this year. Too bad, because I really like Tank, but no way I'm spending over $300 on another Heartbreaker.

I give them points for at least trying something new, but if I owned this figure I would never, ever display the mini suits or the cheap blast things. I could leave them in the box, but it just drives up the price unnecessarily.

Tank is a winner, I'd rather have a full size IX and Disco though than an expensive Tank with some mini figures on it

I would say that's a pretty good indicator. I'm buying just so I can give the mini figs to my son, think I'm done trying to collect all the armors. Once the diecast mk 3 comes, I'll have the original i-vii. After this, I am done with house party protocol

That would definitely be a disappointment if they go that route. Seems like a lot more work too unless they plan on selling these tiny figures by themselves in the future, as they have the parts for 1/6 scale already and all these would be all parts new - unless they are articulation-less 3D prints that they can make on the cheap.

I don't see why you would get upset by this. I want all the HPP armors. But this means nothing. If they want to make the others they can. This won't influence that either way. It's like thinking they won't release the ultron sentry beciase Thor got that app that has them in it. Two seperate products.

Someone who does not have all the rest and just wants a sort of diorama can purchase this and it can be displayed separately and look fine by itself. I really don't think it means they are not going to continue making the 1/6 scale versions - just luring more buyers who might like it but pass if they did not have the other suits.

Problem with the mini figs and the "forced perspective" is it only really works in 2D, in person it will just look odd

Unless they're offering a version with just the Tank armor then they're also forcing people who want all the armors in 1/6 to pay extra for two figures they won't ever display.
