a Witcher line would be welcomed in my eyes.
Yup. I'd buy some Witcher Vidya figures. Yessir. Great designs and I genuinely enjoyed the games, from all the way back in 2007 when I used to play 1 in Internet Cafes. And the designs were ace. I surely-doodley-doo would buy them!

Boy, thank goodness that Netflix show never came out and it was all scrapped...

Poor Godfather.... Poor Poor Godfather. :crying

It's part of the Disney Diversity Platform (DIP for short), which soul purpose is to take all existing media and transform it into an ethnic and sexual rainbow of new mutations based on the old. No new material is meant to come from all of this, no new characters or stories, only the feminist/"minority"/sexual awoke raping of pre-existing material, favoring ethnically and sexually diverse characters.

:huh

You see it happening already with Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Disney live-action remakes of animated films, and soon a woman will be the new Bond. I wonder if she'll answer to "James"? Also happening in comic books, as well as other media - they're going to paint a big pretty rainbow all over the generation, and are washing away real history too in favor of an idealized history where everyone got along and there was no holocaust, segregation, etc. All human suffering will finally be washed away, and life will be "Disney-ized" for your convenience and comfort.

It will be glorious! :woo

And there's no waiting - it's already happening even in textbooks and schools in some countries too, so you can breathe a sigh of relief - everyone is welcome, and those rumors that anyone ever suffered anything are just long forgotten "lies". :hi5:

Things are good. Finally the leading characters are curvier and sexier. So it's a good thing, unless you want original content. Then, well, you're SOL. :doh

But wait... apparently they aren't smart enough or creative enough to come up with bold new characters and stories.

:horror

Considering they're ripping off stories told mostly by white men rather than coming up with their own, one might surmise that perhaps white men are good for something after all.

:dunno

That's what the entertainment business seems to do these days. Takes no risks on its investments (hence few original stories) and re-packages old stories for what's likely to be profitable in the moment.

And you've seen nothing yet. They're still warming up. Oh yes, things have started overheating, but they're not even close to being done. The... alterations, are only the beginning. There's a whole lot of horror in store.

But that's a talk for another place and thread.

The question is, how long will they be able to keep it up? Yes yes, the CONSOOOOOOOOOOMERS are rather braindead, but they move on after a few short years. Just how much longer can they keep doing this thing? I don't know, I just... I remember when Image rolled around all their "hot" new IPs, from the biggest names in the biz. East Of West concluded this December, and nobody really cared. Black Science ended in October or something and again, not a peep. The Big 2 are in an absymal state. So comics are done for. Oh sure, you get something good once in a while, like a new Grendel Mini, but SURPRISE(!), it's about the sexual habits and anatomy of aliens, complete with graphic pictures of them ****ing and also gender class or something. TV Shows? Bah, don't make me laugh. Succession is the best show on television, but it /lost/ viewers, Patriot got canned after 2 seasons, while crap like "Da Witcha" are smash hits. Movies? Yeah, sure, you'll get the odd little film that's a limited release that's good, but there are no new interesting blockbusters anymore. No new IPs. Just mass-appeal, mass-produced schlock. Yes, yes, the objective was always money, but back then they knew how to put some soul into them, dammit!

Nothing's fun anymore. It's all just... bland. And our hobbies, they were supposed to be the ones catering to the obscure, to the D-Listers and the like. But now? It's all just catering to the masses. I know, I know, follow the money is the rule. I just... I don't know. Sure, most of us have moved on from those days of crazy obsessions with such things, but as time goes on, I find myself returning to old classics for an escape, rather than discovering something new. Maybe that's the way it should be. Classics are classics for a reason. And they'll always be there, even after the normies (for a lack of the word I'd use...) have moved on to the next shiny thing. They be be preoccupied with Rick & Memey, but we'll always have the Venture Bros. And I guess that's alright. We'll always have the classics, while they'll be doing with the watered down, inferior versions. We just have to weather the storm...

Yeah Succession is damn amazing. Jeremy Strong as Kendall is just incredible and was robbed of a Golden Globe nomination this year.

The whole show is absolutely brilliant. In a way, I like the fact that it's relatively unknown, since my inner contrarian can feel smug and superior over the masses. Plus, it lets the creators do things their way and not try to please the plebs. But on the other hand I could do with it getting more acclaim.

I'm telling more deserving people to **** off since I started watching it.

I wish English was my first language so that I could use all the cool one-liners and quotes I pick up from tv shows and the like. Translating them just... isn't the same. Or maybe I could stop LARPing as Doctor Doom (or Iron Man... or Nick Fury... or...) when alone and bored, and using my evil (or smooth... or badass... or...) voice to deliver said one-liners, while giving out speeches. But that's the only way I can keep working on my accent! I went from a British (tutor had one) to an American one. I can't lose that too! ...Too much info? Yup, too much info... Well, **** it, I don't mind, I like oversharing. It makes me feel lighter.

It is an amazing show and I wish it got the recognition it deserves. When Billions went to **** I was dissapointed, but Succession filled the Ultra-Rich Dramedy hole in my life!

I couldn't get past halfway of Billions season 1. Just couldn't see Damian Lewis as anyone but Winters and Brody. Very low concept show, similar to Homeland, but they've stretched that out to 9 seasons.

Anyway, I asked JC Hong on Instagram today when HT are announcing their plans and he said he wasn't sure...standard response when he replies anyway. His posts are pretty boring now anyway.

At least we can always count on Hot Toys for a new Iron Man. Errr... or a re-issued one. :monkey3

Billions started off pretty strong, in the sense that you were just watching some wealth ****, and Giamatti and Lewis trying to out-Alpha one another. But now half the time's alloted to the Non-Binary On-The-Spectrum-Genius and xir's team of lesbians and whatever. There's even a scene in the middle of S4 where the black lady that worked under Chuck says to Connerty that he's literally a Nazi for following orders. Said orders were about going against some plan to make voting through cell phones and computers a thing, which was portrayed as the ethical thing. The show's such ****ign trash now that they got Lisa Ann to cameo.

Billions-Infinite-Game-4.jpg

It's even lost the wealth **** it had and is now just a basic show with some f-bombs and cool cars and "Central New York Liberal" Culture I have no investment in. I only kept watching, at 2.0x speed, for Clancy Brown (and also for Giamatti and Lewis).

They even got rid of Malkovitch. Oh, yeah, don't even get me started on the HARDENED RUSSIAN MOBSTER using "preferred pronouns"...

At least we can always count on Hot Toys for a new Iron Man. Errr... or a re-issued one. :monkey3

Come on, lighten up! I'm sure when that Square Enix Avengers game (which looks, oh, so great...) comes out, we'll get some figures of this, uh, beauty...

I've always wanted a NOW!/Believe HT Armor but, not like this...

maxresdefault.jpg

Dunno, maybe they'll make more Future Fight characters?

I'm surprised HT hasn't announced a tribute Iron Man figure yet from the early films. Why is it so hard to make a DX Tony with Mark 1 while they **** out two Darth Mauls so easily?

Hot Toys work in mysterious ways...

How dare them make anything other than Iron Men!

:rotfl

It's a valid point though. You'd think they'd slap together a Tuxedo Tony, some Mark III Re-Issue and pop out a DX set. They did one for Nolan's Batman with that Alfred/Bruce/Batsuit set.

They are really losing it if even their Iron Man fans aren?t happy!

To be fair, I just bought my first Iron Man (Pre-Ordered the Endgame version as a "welcoming gift" for the New Year back in NYE), even though I was a big Ironfan as a kid (and at this point my interest is pretty mild, but I have to have an HT Iron Man, for old time's sake). I kept waiting for them to do a Modular inspired armor in the movies, this was my last chance, and eh, I guess it's close enough.

Plus, the Endgame armor does look cool so I don't mind getting it, all things considered.

Anyone know when we'll hear anything from hot toys about their 20th year anniversary, and any chance we'll see a 1/4 89 Batman figure?
