I can feel your anger, By now you must know you can never NOT buy the DX13

So will it be with you.

Well, No offense to the OP, but pretty much every head sculpt has a few people that say it's poor quality.

Also, since I started collecting, the one thing I have not understood, and will probably never understand is why people compare a 1/4 scale head sculpt to a 1/6. It always just seems to turn into a huge Enterbay vs. Hot Toys slugfest

I think you are right but seeing both figures in person, you can tell where you should put your money

one other thing I don't like about Hot Toys' version (and probably applies to many other 1/6 out there) is that the material used for the jacket makes it look like a doll. The leather is too thick for such a small figure.

that is why for 1/6 scale I only buy Iron Man!!!!!

I'll have to wait and see the Jacket in person to agree or disagree. The Jacket on the DX10 looks pretty good. However, I liked the look of the jacket on the MMS version better.

Iron Man is a curse!

That's why I find it so hilarious that you like this sculpt but hate the dx10. They were all cast from the same head. The DX13 just looks better because it has prototype detail. Not that I've explained it a few times already....

You better hope they either resculpt it or do a better job at production, or you'll have good ol' Benecio Damon on your shelf.

Sure - you've said your piece a few times, & so have I.

I see subtle differences that I personally think are visible - plus the damaged hair that breaks up the bulbous look the DX10 hair has.

All I know, is when I get the figure, and I open it up, if I really like what I see then I'm good. If it's not 100% percent accurate I'll be ok.

P.S how do Hot Toys Sculpt the figures? By Hand? I've seen pictures where they have a computer with a sculpted face on it.

The Terminator in your sig is inaccurate. His facial damage was on his right side and his bandoleer was hanging on his left.

Subtle differences besides more detail and nicer paint that inevitably are lost when manufactured. You are literally (with the exception of battle damage) looking at the final DX10 proto. Even though I can and have noted that the sculpts match up down to the number and placement of wrinkles, all it takes is a very basic understanding of the toy business to know that one sculpt (one finalized Arnold likeness) was used to produce 3 heads: clean, semi bd, and full bd.

In other words, you love ol' Benecio as long as he has all the love and attention a prototype receives. Unfortunately, that's not what you'll be getting and unless a resculpt has been done behind the scenes or they have upped the production standards, Benecio ala the DX10 is what you'll be getting. Luckily for us all, it seems that things have improved since the dip in quality that hurt the DX10, DX12, and a few others.

I know I've said this over and over and provided more details previously, but the fact stands that my observations here are not just me using my eyes, but they are also based on detailed insight into the process of creating and producing action figures. The only counter to my argument over the last year has been, "Well, I think it is different," and it's hardly an objective observation when we're talking about a figure that people decided to hate long before its release vs the version they wanted.

It's just silly how much hate has been directed at the DX10, particularly the likeness, when it's apparently just fine on the DX13.

Uhh, that is all. :lol
