What did you use for the molten steel effect? Very curious

I used some moldable plastic, molded it to the structure (which could be done better, it was my first time), and painted the bottom and put a cluster of leds inside. If I do another one or upgrade this one I now have a way of dying the plastic so maybe it'll make for a nicer effect.
