Guys screaming $230 like this is a bargain- my have times changed- remember the prices for DX01 and 02???? We choked at $160 then........
so if you call this a "bargain" more power to you!

I think many of us are just surprised it wasn't more given current Hot Toys pricing and the fact it is a DX. I don't think many of us are considering it a bargain at this price (at least I'm not)... We just don't find the price as hateful as we were dreading. :)

I'm happy about this. Nicholson is the best Joker, after all, and it's not another Ledger Joker or Iron Man. I'd prefer if it wasn't a pers figure, but that's my only complaint.

They stated that Side Show has been limiting its retailers orders so they are not able to order as much in addition to cutting back on as their retail discounts all the more reason retailers are reducing the quantity they usually order.
Oh I had no idea, thanks for the info, I was confused about what was going on lol.

It's true, collectors have become desensitized to the pricing.

I don't think this is a bargain by any means, but it's a better price than I originally anticipated. Price wise, these Hot Toys figures have been a rip for the past 2 or 3 years.

MMS and DX. While Hot Toys is partly to blame, the people that pay $300+ on the secondary market don't help. I'm sure Hot Toys sees that and prices accordingly.

I do find it funny how people are complaining about this, even though the BR Joker and Cop Joker were both about equivalent, as far as screen-time goes, in their respective film.

BR Joker came with a bit more (two sculpts, accessories). Cop Joker was just a bonus to DX01... not a single release. And back then, DXs would only cost $160-175 with PLENTY more than this.

Other retailers will have him for cheaper than SS. AE will probably be $210-215.

Think it'll be easy to get him for under 200 after release.

Cop Joker was literally one or two seconds. :lol

Atleast Uncle Bingo had lines.

This is a complete surprise by HT, though I'm not going to get it. I would have thought the price would have been higher too, but I guess it's because it is not anything related to Iron Man.

Get a grip hot toys stop giving us the same old ****e. Ie batman man or Iron man. Give us us an Arnie Conan and grow some *****.

:lol That is too funny

I have to agree with the thread title - I did not see this coming at all. I thought we were done with 89 Batman. I expected to see Arkham City as the next Batman item released.

Sad but true- these are pretty outrageous at $250 up but we keep buying them. Soon $300 will look cheap to us if the upward spiral continues......
and to imagine guys paying $600-700 on out of production figures.....:slap

If they did Conan, I guarantee people would complain that "waaah, you've already done multiple Arnold's, do something elseeeee".

You can't please everyone, it's true.

Agreed. Some are even paying that much for that battle damaged Mark VII figure. I wonder how long it'll be before the bubble pops on this collectible scene.
