Honestly take the upper half of the HT head and lower half of SS head and you’d have an amazing Maul sculpt. SS mouth/chin and jawline tats/stricture look better and the HT eyes and forehead look better. Photoshop and it’d be Ray Park Maul.

It's more that the makeup application was inconsistent throughout the film, so much so that it is hard to make a truly definitive call on what 'accurate' really means in this case.

If it looks right to your own eyes then that's about the best one can hope for in Maul's case, really.

The HT sculpt is great. And is likely to have a better overall paint app in the final version.
Buuuut.....
like a few people have said, the SS is really good. Not sure if I need a new one at this stage.
I know this seems like topsy turvy world, but SS really did out-do HT on this one occasion, lol.

We definitely will. The official pics might have a tease of him and Qui Gon in them too.

Maul preorder pics will definately include a Qui-Gon teaser.

Gotta say, SSC V2 wins in this pic for me. I think eye shape and placement are the biggest factors in that opinion.

Thanks Matrix. Can you do the same with a front view of Maul from the movie to match those ? SS has a clearly wider skull than HT.

I respectfully disagree with you. For me the eyes on the SSC headsculpt scream Ray Park to me.

I think you can probably easily sell those parts to someone who’s keeping and prefers the SSC version.

If they have 2 x HS then it's a no brainer. At that point I don't really care if he doesn't look 110% Ray Park, he'll be unmistakable on the shelf as Maul.

Exactly. SS Maul May have had a great sculpt but they screwed the collector with no robe, base, and that price! Nit pick or whatever, HT is the way to go!

I know the lightings bad on the HT head sculpt pic but I actually prefer the SS sculpt. It looks a more accurate Ray Park resemblance IMO. The HT version has more of a “Dark Horse comic” look about it.

I agree. But we really dont have a great shot of the HT head....that shot has loads of lens distortion.

Basically where I am. Looks great, but price point will likely dry up any desire I have to get it.
