The release date is obnoxious. I'll be getting the speeder version but no idea where from just yet. I hate that saving a little money potentially means waiting an extra month or more.

I wonder if there's any chance of HT or Sideshow making a 1/6 Droideka. If there's any large display piece I'd want behind Maul or my other prequel figures, it would be one of those.

Does anyone know why the sudden price hike? Is it because a second portrait is included or are comapnies starting to factor in the potential 25 percent tarrif on goods from China? The price is about a 25 percent bump from a typical clothed figure. Hasbro appears to be taking a proactive route by moving production out of China, according to the NY Post.

Just ordered regular w/o bike at BBTS ..no NRD ..knew it :clap

I don’t mind the cost either since we get two lit sabers and two hilts and slash effects. Also save $124

DX figures are always more. This is the first one with a full scale vehicle included. I think the price is fair with that in consideration.

Everyone must be new here. :lol

I wanted a snarling teeth bared sculpt, unfortunately that second head doesn't exactly fit the bill. I guess that's it for HT on Maul, no other version will come with a better snarling head. It's not bad though, I think If I do get this, I'd just display him with the regular angry head.

But that price on the regular is just too much for me to afford. I wish this was much closer to $250.

I couldn't pass up the full light-up Speeder for $396 and free shipping at Timewalker.

Yes, its expensive -- but my Tatooine Maul check-box is checked forever.

Timewalker is great. Have the royal guards bundle ordered from there.

I wish Sideshow would do cheaper shipping options.

Does Timewalker double box?

People were discussing the inscribed tattoos before, I was thinking they must have done that for PERS since he’s got no hair to hide the seam in his head. It’ll be tricky enough having to grip his horns (I assume) to pull the piece out to adjust.

I'm going to guess the eyes are poseable from the outside, you can roll them with your finger or a tool. Or that they are somehow moveable from the underside of the sculpt. But it's not PERS this time, so hopefully the top or back of the head isn't removable as that just seems like a bad idea.

Well if you consider that the Darth Maul DX version without the Sith Speeder doesn't really include much more than Tarkin (came with a chair and scene-specific stand) and Luke Jedi (included a variety of accessories including the light-up saber, scene-specific clothes, etc.) you're really not getting a DX level of accessories when compared to something like a Bespin Luke, which included two bodies, portraits and costumes, as well as the weather vane. I get Bespin Luke was done years ago and would cost closer to $400 by today's standard, but prices should not have gone up $50 between the relase of Luke Jedi to Darth Maul wihtout something justifying it. My question was, is the the portrait, potentail tarrifs or something else driving the price up?

I'm guessing they've used the same magnetic head/neck system as on the 1/6 and 1/4 TDK figures...with both eyes having individual pegs for movability.

Updated these with a better shot of the HT sculpt...it's growing on me:)

It’s a small thing, but I think adding the fresh tone highlight on the lower eyelid like Sideshow has would change perception of the HT head, Park always showed this so it’s part of the look and I believe a factor that’s making people feel like Sideshow has a better likeness to him.

Seeing the HT next to a photo of Park, the eye openings look sculpted right, but, because the strip of flesh tone is missing below, the wide-eyed illusion of Park in makeup is lost.
