I swear DS the quality of this forum has absolutely degraded in the last few months. His method of saving money has made this forum worse. It keeps crashing and now it gets hacked.

Definitely. Once both sets sell out I see the release with the Speeder being more desirable. Still though speaking for myself all I need is the standard release. I'd never use the Speeder. Its just not a very iconic vehicle for me and Maul would look better posed up in a cool stance with his saber in my opinion.

I plan on displaying Maul off the speeder in a bad @s$ pose with the speeder behind him. For those of you getting the speeder but saying that you wouldn’t display it, why not? Instead of leaving it in the box, at least display it with Maul. A 1:6 Sith speeder needs to be displayed!!! Ha!

Depends on how HT perceives things, if they read forums and social media and the overall reaction is critical, it'll probably be an ego hit that sets them down the path of revising it. If perception is that it's good enough, they may not. Sales aren't impacted because every set includes the head so it's not like there's a version no one's ordering because of it, so your only hope for appeal is to tap into ego, maybe having people touting how cheap toys got it better might bruise things enough, they tend to like to be the best.

Exactly. If they see the sets are selling anyway, they likely won’t alter it. Best chance of doing so is over a bruised ego if they see the overwhelming majority of people despise it.

I kind of joked about it in an earlier post but i could really see HT saving the clenched teeth sculpt for a later release. Why put everything in the same box when you can spread it over several releases.

Oh no, some expression in a sculpt. Don't like it? Don't pose with it. It's good for bringing to life other poses then standing around.

How do you think change happens? One passing comment here and there a week? No. You have to be loud and obnoxious. Just like SJWs.

It’s getting traction. The chances of them altering it are looking good. Keep up the bitching though. This is one figure that they do not need to get complacent with. Put your best foot forward... or go home.

Because this is too expensive and people would just wait for others to part out the new headsculpt. They need to get it right the first time around, instead of dicking around and skirting the issue. The most expensive DX they’ve ever produced needs to be as flawless as they can possibly make it. This is not their best effort. We are all aware of this.

On a side note, Sideshow’s speeder bike is $329 alone.

So this isn’t too bad a price I’d say.

Eh I doubt it. Maul is a one off character that probably won’t see more than one release. Unless he plays a role in potential sequels to Solo (if they even happen) but I sort of doubt they’d do Maul with robotic legs. I think that’s why this is a DX release and is basically including everything people would want.

I seriously doubt they release a second Maul, especially since they included everything in this release. Him being in only one movie and only having one outfit eliminates the need for a second figure. If they were going to dive into the cartoons, then yes, I could see a second figure. But so far, they haven't touched The Clone Wars or Rebels.

Yeah, and that’s overpriced. One could expect an upwards of $250 for such a vehicle, but coming in at over $300 is a bit absurd. Even the Figuarts bundle seems high for a Biker Scout and Speeder.

I think it’d be hilarious if the second sculpt was actually an articulated jaw and they just go out in the middle of the show, grab the head, and close the jaw to show gritting teeth. Sculpt then looks flawless and this thread crashes until release

If there’s a reason characters get more than one release but realistically I don’t see why there’d be a need for another Maul. The only thing I could possibly see is if they decided to do a quarter scale release. Otherwise it’s a character with one film appearance and a figure that’s throwing everything in.
