You know if I was to get this figure, I would probably pose it with the Stark head and Sunglasses, while it's holding the box of doughnuts.
Then have the MK VI fully suited and booted

Who knows, maybe the mkVI will come with a giant donut for him to sit in.

Beautiful!!! Yes please!!!

Can't wait to for them to announce the triangle ark and suitcase pieces! Hope thats not all!

That is absolutely insane. :google

The T800 Endo hand small moveable fingers and was even more insane (and fragile as hell).

Yeah, take your time. You don't want to end up regretting buying something when another thing you want comes along.

It's hard to balance and paying Ebay prices can be painful for older figures.

However, I just sold off basically 2 collections of things that I went overboard on in the past and it's been a lot of work to get it all out of here.

When I decided to start collecting statues and 1/6 figures it was kind of refreshing. Starting from scratch, seeing what was already available, and trying to keep in mind previous collecting "reaches".

This stuff is just so much better and it's hard to pass up any figures when you see them first coming out though as a lot of them are just so well done.

I've got to keep in mind that there is going to be a DX IM IMO so not to get too crazy with all these armors. I know I'll get this IV, probably pass on the V and then look to the VI and maybe track down a I.

There are a few things about his shape that I agree with folks on but over all he's pretty darn impressive.

Definitely getting this one!! :D

Does the slim look 2 this figure remind any of you of how he looks in that cgi cartoon "Iron Man: Armored Adventures"
I know allot of people hate that cartoon ..but i always loved that slim look he had.

The Mark IV will always look thicker when there is someone in it but in the film they CGI it to look slimmer. They did the same with the first film. People need to understand that HT is going for what you'll see in the film not what you'll see in the behind the scenes or production sneaks.
that's just your own perception. the CGI will try its best to match the real deal. if ever it got caught to appear slimmer then that's just the failing of the CG artists.

besides, nowhere in the 1st film did mark III look as skinny as the figures ht made. and nowhere in all the trailers and promo shots i've seen of the 2nd film does mark IV look as slim as this new figure. he should look like a knight in shining armor, not the ninja from metal gear solid, proportionally speaking.

look at this promo pic(CG or real costume? who cares!), this is not a behind the scene photo or a production sneak... look how bulkier he is(ok technically this is mark VI, but chestpiece aside it's the same costume):

I forgot about the endo. Maybe since these are a little bit bulkier they will not be as fragile but with new technology such as the pers system I forsee a ton of breakages.

I'm not impressed by the moveable fingers. I was more impressed by the Perfect Grade Wing Gundam when Bandai did it 10 years ago. Of course, the Gundam ws 1/60 and Iron Man is 1/6, but they're about the same size next to each other on the shelf.

There won't be any breakages, they're just ball-joints, they'll pop out of the socket and you'll push them back in.

i'm always for the articulated fingers simply because it allows the figure to give middle finger to anyone he doesnt like.

I was about to say I agree that it's too thin, but at least comparing direct tracings of the HT prototype pictures to tracings off that promotional art they seem almost identical in girth. I think the limbs might just be slightly longer (and by a couple millimeters at most) and the head is very slightly too narrow which makes the whole figure look thinner even though the body has the same girth.

Promo pic on the left, HT proto on the right. I used the first prototype pic for reference as it's almost the same shot as the promo pic.

I really like the proportions. To me they actually really enhance the look of the figure. Just my little ol' opinion though. :)
