How do you feel about the IV overall Spanbauer? I noticed you're usually pretty hard to please when it comes to IM figures but it seems that you're pretty satisfied with this one with little to criticize which means it has to have seriously improved over the old ones in your eyes!
He's fantastic! He turned out really, really well. If i had to find a complaint (which is very hard to do) it'd be that the legs are too long (the gold should go right up to the waist), but it seems that extra red gap between the waist and the gold thighs is there for added articulation. Without that extra height he wouldn't be able to bend his legs forward very far.

Unfortunately I'm holding out for the mark vi, which in theory should be just as good since its more or less a repaint, but there's a few engineering differences (shoulder rockets, face in the helmet) that could botch the proportions or articulation like those features did in the battle-damaged mark III.

If you're going to just take it out of the box and stick it on your shelf in it's default pose never to be touched again, why don't you send the figure to me and I'll print and mail you a photo of it to hang on your shelf instead.

hall of armor display............thats why

Thanks for all the great pictures again. Seriously awesome!
I am glad that I went all mad and getting 4 of these for the bases. Again if anyone is interested especially Torontonians I am going to sell likely two of these without base or base/headsculpt with decent savings and I will part out my first two to make sure you get yours first.

I would have to agree with you, i'm also holding out for VI, as difficult as that may be, especially after all these shiny photos.

Here's my reasoning.

IV looks awesome.

If you're a completist, then IV is a must purchase.

Unfortunately for me I can't afford to be one.

Therefore I can only afford one IM to go along with my WM.

It only makes sense to go with VI since VI interacted with WM in the movie.

If the end battle had been with IV, then IV it would have to be.

I just wish that VI was as shiny as IV and also had a full Stark head, donut I don't care so much :lol

This is going to replace my Mark 3 and that will be the end of Iron Man for me. The only problem is if they make the Mark 5. :gah:

I know everyone knows what I'm saying here, but damn I love this $#!T! What great time to be in this hobby. I pride myself on being able to figure most things out but Hot Toys must have magicians working for them because this stuff is pure alchemy.

Yeah well I wish their magicians could hook me up with a Mark 1 that won't cost me 13 months worth of diapers.

Damn why did I hesitate :cuckoo:
