This Iron Man is phenomenal. The best one yet. It seems crazy how I thought the original Mark III was amazing, and then BD Mark III came out and I was even more impressed and I honestly didn't think they could do any better and then this one comes out. They just keep getting better and better and I couldn't be happier.

I was never happy with the proportions on the MKII/III mold and the BD III didn't do much to remedy that. This one though looks spot ____ing on. HT in general seems to have been honing in on perfect body proportions. Something that has eluded the 12" or 1/6 toy market for decades. Just comparing the original nude True Type body to the most recent version.

It's a really great figure, but I'm a little disappointed with one thing:

It's not possible to achieve this position or I'm a little dumb:slap?

It's do-able with the mkIII. I don't have a mkIV yet so I don't know. Back when I got the mkIII I did a comparison of how I think the arm should be held out (top) vs how it tends to be posed (bottom).

You've got this guy in-hand, Ben?

Damn I am so itching to take one of them out and setup beside my MIIIBD :( Hmm ok the dent box is $10 cheaper so I guess it would be acceptable to take it out for comparison shots? ;)

For the guys with both MKIV and WM, is WM taller than MKIV?
I have WM and he does seem like he has model legs, they are a tad too long and skinny

We get it.

:lecture

there should be some kind of 'ironic man' smily for people posting multiple times on how glad they passed on a figure and then bashing it after.

im glad i'm not passing on mark IV.

the mark III BD still takes my breath away to this day. i'll prepare to be blown away by the IV.

War Machine is a lame 1990s concoction. No cooler than your lame-o Darkhawks or Bloodshots. :monkey4

Not only that, he's a ridiculously derivative, lame 1990s concoction.

"Let's take Iron Man and cover him in big 'ol guns! Then, he'll be as cool as Iron Man and Cable put together!"

That decade sucked.

I blame Rob Liefeld.

I think he's slightly taller

I may get him just for this pose:

Yeah the legs really remind me of Gundam legs. Its the one thing i didn't like about the War Machine design, made him look a little top heavy

And more often than not I get the impression it's an attempt to make themselves feel better about passing on an awesome figure.

looks like smoother paint finish and more red making the MIIIBD look a lil maroonish ... I included MIIIBD head and chestplate for comparison.. ok I never took the IM out of its mold ;)

Looks freaking awesome. I just couldn't not order through SS since I knew I could get him cheaper than through anyone else.

Sweet. He's out in HK!

Now do I keep my SSC order or try to get him elsewhere? I missed the boat on cheaper PO prices, but seeing the TS HS made me want it.
