Sideshow has that reputation. All the other dealers I've ever bought from pack the shipper in a bigger box and pack it with styrofoam or paper.
Yup, that's really a shame too. Especially if you're a collector, you would want additional steps taken to protect the inner box.

And SSC's reason of doing this to save on shipping costs is bogus.
Their shipping rates aren't any lower than other vendors I've used who package the outer HT shipper box inside of another shipping box stuffed with foam or bubble paper.

Bought him from Q over at Frank and Son on Wednesday night. Absolutely amazing figure.

I tried to buy one from him last Saturday, but he said he didn't have any more. Seeing it in person at his booth convinced me to buy it.

Actually there are a few vendors that sell them. I think one was selling it for $200. I know Q's price was cheaper, but he sold out of pre-orders when I contacted him. You can always PM him on this board.

If I can remember correctly, there are 3-4 booths at Frank & Son that sell Hot Toys figures. If you're in So Cal and want to pick up, I would PM Q or buy from Corner Store Comics.

I just opened mine today and can't get the attachable back flaps to sit flush. I did a search on this thread and I'm not alone. Has anybody fixed theirs? Or gotten Mark IV with attachable back flaps that sit flush?

Thanks

Thanks, I was just wondering. Mines was lost by UPS (delivered to the wrong house) but a neighbor returned to me. I was getting ready to drive over to Frank & Son and pick one up on Weds. But decide to wait and ended up receiving mines on Thursday.

You have to play with the thin metal grates underneath the flap, bending them a little and carefully. I got the right one to sit flush, but the left one still sticks up a little, but more flush then before.

Re: Question for HT Iron Man Mark IV owners

Is it normal for there to be a little bit of play in the lower waist? It is pretty fair, but not totally loose, I wanted too know if anyone else had
a HT mark IV that has moved the waist around and posed him? I did that with the waist on mine and was not to loose but enough for me to ask the question to fellow freaks on board. It wiggles just a tad but not terribly bad it is the lower waist

thanks

Sorry dude:peace ..i thought this was a joke question:lol

I don't think there is anything wrong with your figure as it is meant to have articultation there:dunno, maybe it's just not as tight as others, if it can hold a pose i would not worry about it:)

Never mind figured it out EVERYTHING IS FINE "FALSE ALARM" it is apparent that the torso extends and can extend a bit and then can be pushed back down when up right i think that is the way it was made for that power punch in the kneeling position he does. Unbelievable radical figure def a keeper I am getting all of them.

ps, I reserve the right to sell what I want, when I want for however much someone is willing to pay!

Has Jurassic Park taught us nothing? Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD. Yeah sure it's your right, and I really have no issue with someone selling stuff that they've gotten their own milage out of, but if you're re-selling retail collectables at a higher price right after it's been released it's not good for the hobby as a whole. That was what nearly killed the entire North American comics industry in the 90s.

True but in his post he said "for however much someone is willing to pay!" ..not for however much he want's to sell it for.

comic and collectibles are entirely different things, comics are more comparible to hasbro figures...

A collectible market exists because there is so little of a product that it naturally makes prices go up for sake of rarity, (didnt they flood the comic book industry in the 90s? so also not comparible) people need to understand the market for this stuff and forget about targetting people for wanting to make money in this world

Just out of curiosity, I noticed there were some big crease marks on the front shiny cover of the box which I guess occurred during shipping. Did anyone else get these and for the ones that didn't have any, where did you purchase your mark iv?

Look guys collectables increase in value especially Hot Toys Marvel Stuff as of late. Wolverine I bought for 175 shipped....now they are 300-400 shipped!!! Insane but it is reality, we do reserves the right to sell what we want, when we want how we want. But we are a collectable family and should not be azz's toward each other these are just plastic toys bottom line. Fair trade within reason should be done modestly and within reason and not rip everyone off just because everyone else is doing it in hong kong.

:exactly: This is one of the best statements I have read on this board.

It's quite simple really.
The phrase supply and demand can be applied to just about everything that has a price tag.

It could be the Hope Diamond, for example, but it's still just a piece of rock until someone actually buys it.

Something is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it.
