Looking at the pictures you can see the damage is on different areas on each of the pictures, so I jumped to another conclusion and concluded it to be two Ironmen. I can concede that I was wrong and that the lighting needs to be strong to actually see these 'scratches', because on the first pic you can't see the 'scratches' on the left side of his chest, like you can in the second pic.

wow !! they both look incredible !
amazing IM collection man.

Oh, no, no, NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOoo!!!!!!! NOT AGAIN!!!
This is the third time I receive a BROKEN item from HotToys.
Mi Iron-man Mark 2 has a broken leg.
I can't understand what happen with their quality control. The box is in perfect conditions, so that means no big hits in the shipping process. That means the item was already broken when the put it in the box.
I can't believe how much that kind of thing really cost me.
I live in South America, so: the price of the figure 160 + the shipping to my country $90 + the returning shipping $50 + the shipping to my country $90.
TOTAL: $390 for a $160 figure (or defective figure). My god!
Hot Toys is really, really great. I'm a huge fan of them, but this kind of things really hit me in the face and for the third time.
Sorry about that, but I needed to tell someone who really understands me. And those guys are you, the collectors.

I'm guessing maybe it's a manufacturing defect? perhaps it was intact when it was put in the box. Any pressure that was put on the leg, may have gave way?

3 times though...

It's really hard to believe that it broke in the sealed box.
The leg can't be broken unless you hit so hard that even the box suffer some damage. The box is in excellent conditions. And I didn't mention that the circular piece on the hip is broken too. That's a problem that can't be made inside the box.

Ouch! What were the other defective figures you got?

I had problems with the Alien Warrior from Aliens (and guess what, the leg was broken)
And the second one was the Jor-El figure, but I solved it without send the item to the seller.
Oh, and I almost forgot, the Sideshow/HotToys Clone ObiWan came with the back pack broken too.
That makes 4! My god!

hmmmmm.... since the shipping and such is gonna cost so much, why not try to fix it? IM is not like the usual 1/6 figure, from the look of it you should be able to unscrew the leg and open it up to replace that rod with something stronger. Like a steel pin or similar.

Still, 3 times. that's gotta suck.

Yes, thanks. I'm studying the possibility to do that.
I'm really pissed off, because it happened with some items from Medicom too (Darth Maul with broken head, Spiderman hand with broken peg, Peter Parker with broken leg, What happens with legs?. But I can't believe it happens with Hot Toys. I really had BAD BAD BAD LUCK.

Damn, you've been really unlucky with figures! Maybe your delivery man shakes the boxes or something.

Hehehe, that would be really bad :lol. I thought he played football with them, but no. The boxes are in excellent conditions. And my sellers are Toys2 and BBTS.

If it's any consolation to you, many people had problems with the HT Aliens Warrior. It was a widespread problem.

I'm loving the MK III - question is if I already have that, do you reckon it's over the top getting in the MKII aswell? It looks sweet and I am very tempted.

got my iron man mk 2 a couple days ago, and mine has the paint issue from a few pages back. not as pronounced but definitely there. they can't be rubbed off, and they appear more in the right light. around the same area that that bad toy-world one was in. can't seem to capture it well on my crappy camera either. also, the guard over the right foot was snapped off before i even opened the box. my seller is currently looking into it by contacting HT for me.

so much for HT's QC.
