I did a shoot today with my Mark V. Still one of my favorites because it reminds me so much of the 80's Silver Centurion version Iron Man. :)

that's pretty sweet ! mind showing us your set up ?

Even though I'm not 100% fond of the Black Widow figure by Hot Toys, I am still getting it. So I've been looking at this figure thinking, he would be a good companion piece.

Just bought a second BD arm and hands set so I can paint all the blue of the exposed race suit black and cut off the bits of exposed fingers on the damaged hand to emulate a battle damaged but empty suit.

Hopefully that works.

I always imagined this suit wouldn't even stay together without a person in it. Seems like the thin metal pieces kind of locked tight around the body and were held in place by the body pushing on the inside. That's how I picture it anyway.

Lookin' forward to it ded! Good luck! :wink1:

Yea, it was so tight i didnt even wanna to try.
Anyone have tip? Followed the instruction to place arm stright before 'pulling'

Yeah just tired. Didn't work. Rotated the arm to the back and fore a few times with slight pull strength. Didn't feel any 'catch'. :slap

It's a little stiff at the beginning...so don't be afraid to exert a little more strength.

Ill try again. Hope i dont break his arm. :gah:

it won't don't worry, but when trying to pull it out, make sure to wrap your hand around his entire arm (top to bottom), and place your thumb at the shoulder socket, and slowly exert pulling force.

That's how I did it the first time :)

:yess:, Got it out. Hell man, that was ALOT of force.

Haha congrats! But the BD arm is stable though, unlike that of the Mark VI's BD arm, which can hold poses if you lift it upntoo high. That's the one thing I like about the Mark V...feels like an all-around solid figure :)

Too bad I had to sell mine at such a great loss though...but it was great while it lasted
