Thanks, reading backward atm, bad new for me, I really wanted this one, let's see how deep is the matter.

You'll want to go back to shortly after it was released and skim forward. You'll start to see pics. Start reading from there. IIRC, it was very hit or miss. I bought mine from SS right at the very end of it's availability and it does not have the issue.

Oh God why.
A hit or miss issue? I'm pretty much ******ed then, I have no luck in these sort of things. Thanks for the hint, I'll check from the release pages, let's see.

EDIT: hmm, I see. Judging the pics, that flat grey is not as iron/silver/metal as it should be imho, it just look shiny with proper lighting. It's the reason I don't like the Secret Project, it's just too much plastic man instead of iron man, this Mark V intrigues me because of the silver-red contrast.

i love how this mark v is but the paint seems to be a problem.

Great pics! What an impressive work of art by the original designers and HT.

The Mark V has been sold out on SSC, every now and then one will come back in stock though it seems.

I got my Mark V from Go Hastings today, awesome figure. The part of the gauntlets that go over the hands are really loose, both pieces came off when I switched hands (they were practically glued to the fist hands though). Anyway, I'll think of a fix later. Also, is that rubber around his elbow joints or something else? It feels rubbery. Should I be concerned about it?

The "hand guards" are a weak aspect of the figure that's poorly designed and fragile.

When it's loose, it could be due to (one or a combo of):
1. The hinge was forced opened too wide and remains wide.
2. The hinge is in the verge of breaking (because forced to wide) beyond the flexibility of the plastic.
3. The hole on the flap to be inserted into the "fragile" hinge is not properly formed thus forcing the hinge to flex wider upon moving. (paint built up/bad casting)
4. The are at least two casting variations of parts for Mk. V that I know of, so parts may not fit as designed or intended.

You may flex the hinge back to position "carefully" (without the hand flap/guard)... Carefully because you may snap it if you push too hard.... so it will hold the hand guard better (provide more resistance)

The elbow joints are concealed in a rubber tube... been done on the first Mk. 3 and 2.... and future Mk. VII... I suppose to be safe just don't, leave your Mk. V's arms in a bent position long term.

Note also people have been breaking/undoing the glued LED bulb/peg on the end of Mk. V's arms...I've 40+ Mk. 5 arms (L&R) but none had done so.

Awesome, thank you so much for the indepth reply bandito. I really appreciate the advice. I don't want to have to deal with Go Hastings CS, and I really like the Mark V as is so I'm not interested in this one going to hell and waiting for a 2.0.

He looks good. I skipped him initially because I didn't like the suits look, but its grown on me. I've come to like the non-standard suits as much as the gold/red ones.

The Mk.V by Hot Toys is a great figure.
The only issue is the silver portions of the armor. It's the wrong shade of silver. It needed to be more mirror-like, but not chrome.

Damn damn damn....this reminds me that I need new left and right hands. I ***t mine up due to the glue residue that had the flappy bits of the gauntlets stuck to the hands. Blast my stupidity!
