I passed on this figure about a year ago for $200 and kicked myself afterwards. But was lucky enough to get it recently for $220 shipped. But it's typically going for more along the lines of $275-300 now.

Someone has one for sale on the For Sale forum here for $300 shipped, i believe.

yea thats the person that screwed me over lol, he is now re selling it

but i would still really love this piece in my collection one day! looking at the photos in this thread just make me want one even more. getting into the Hot Toys game late and been a big iron man fan really hurts the wallet, managed to get MK 1 2 4 7 tho so 4 from 7 isnt bad

Discontoys in the UK have him in stock.
It's £250 unfortunately.
But Dave at Discontoys is a great guy. He always has items that are out of stock elsewhere, totally MISB.
I got the MKI 2.0, MKV and Odin from him.
I can honestly say that i would have paid even more to get a MKV brand new and sealed.
It's one of, if not THE most striking armour due to all the silver accents, slimmer stature than other armours(This armour is the Lotus Elise of Iron Man suits, compared to the Sherman Tank that is the MKVII) and the meaner expression(Due to all the new panel lines on his lid).

Ditto, Dave is a great guy and the MK V is a fine Figure. Got about 7 figures from him.

Thanks for the link and Help Username! ill keep him in mind!

I got my MK V from discontoys as well, only last November when they were still £179. Dave is a superb seller, sends everything out asap and has always been a pleasure to do business with, and the service he provides in having stock of figures others pre-sell out of before you get to see in hand pictures is a blessing.

I'm sure this has been covered before, but why is the silver on this figure so dark grey compared to the product photos? It looks so shiny here.

That was a big gripe when this released, I remember it well.
Always wanted to get mine touched up by a painter, I still might do that actually.

There's a few custom Mk 5's on eBay that had these silver parts chromed up, and other BD figures too.

Did anyone here ever offer that service? Probably would be too pricey for me though. I'll bet it looks awesome.

What's funny to me is, the color of the Mk II would be perfect....so why'd they do it on the II but not the V?

I'm not aware of anywhere here who broadcasted that service specifically for this figure, but if you ask around in the customs forum for painters interested in the task you might get some bites.

I agree, HT should have used a more polished/chromed metallic look instead of the grey pieces they went with. I'm not sure why they deviated so much.

So far this is my favorite Mark armor. I was also able to pick up an extra set of repulsor battle hands, which look great.

If they redo any of the earlier Marks in die cast, this one should be first in line.

Just picked one up from a local store...used. I didnt realized it has a broken armor flap piece behind the hand on left hand. Now i am posing it in damaged form only. I need to find a replacement arm. Saw one on ebay for $80.00..geez

Same thing happened to both of the hand flaps on my Mark V. I just used a little krazy glue and now they look perfect. I did want to buy 2 arms that weren't broken, but $80 is a killer. I've even contemplated buying a whole new figure and selling this one as is.

Buying another is not a bad idea...only to find it cheap. I got him for $250 and thought the price was decent until i found the damaged piece.

Yea I originally got this for around $180 so if i could recoup that price if I decide to sell it I wouldnt be too upset. But finding a new one for decent is the hard part. But even though they are krazy glued and you cant really tell the difference, i know its there and it drives me crazy.
