Super Freak
Thanks.
I just wish HT is continuing to work on the Mk.II AU to 'adjust' some of the issues.
I'm sure they'll be doin' what necessary..
Thanks.

There is some amount of charring you can see in the proto pics.
Look at the damaged area of the chest and also the left bicep.
But I still think it looks too clean.
The helmet and legs need some scratches, dents, etc.
I still think they could have included an extra helmet and swappable thighs. It's the trade off for it being displayable in both appearances.
Resistance is futile!finally caved and bought this....it's so futile trying to resist HT's Iron Man 2 line. Hope it'll turn out as stunning as the Mark VI!
Well I already started this line, and I have a lot of predators (Neca & McFarlane...) I think I'll keep the predators cheep with those brands lol... besides the NECA 1/4 Predator are comming...
and also the new photos of the Mark V, reminded me why I suscribed to this thread!
And the Mark II is going to be realeased again! and it looks awesome!
I think I have taken a choice! IRON MAN all the way! IRON MAN RULES!
The Mark V suit went through several stages of damage during the Whiplash battle, as Vodoun showed in this post. Hot Toys opted to go with the second or third stage of damage. The figure is not incorrect; it's just early-on in the battle.Didn't the Mark V's armor have charred residue and ash on it from being electrocuted? The HT figure has nice battle damage but it looks too clean.
A step 7 figure will be wicked
It's interesting that the legs and helmet even by the end barely have a touch of damage on them.
I have to admit I don't like the whole 'Battle Damage' gimmick. Just seems like another way for HT to milk more $ out of the customer base, which seems all too happy to eat up.
If I had to pick I'd take the pure version over the BD on any armor, any day.
Whats wrong with these companies giving folks a chance to display things in different ways? I'm thankful these companies give us that chance. It may not be your thing and thats fine but thankfully companies don't listen to that and give us OPTIONS.
