Should i get this or AOU version

I don't see a whole lot of difference between the two. If you can score DW for a better price than AoU, I would do that. I have DW in my collection and as of now, I have no need another Thor... Expect a more drastic costume change in Ragnarök.

I like the armored arms look better than the bare arms look........but that's just me.

I'm with you on that. I've decided to keep tdw figure instead of buying the new one

I'm considering buying the AoU head for this version. I think TDW has a much better likeness, but the open mouth has always bothered me.

Really? I think it's a really cool bit on detail. Sets the figure apart... The AoU sculpt is awesome as well do ya can't go wrong really.

I think it depends on how he's posed ... if you're into museum poses the open mouth might bug you....I have mine posed like he's ready to brawl. Looks sweet to me ha

Very true. Sometimes the facial expressions on sculpts dictate how the figure needs to be posed.

After seeing your picture I definitely prefer TDW Thor rather than the one from AoU.

So I picked up a DW armored body real cheap. Been thinking about this for a few days and decided to just do it. I took my supposed "exclusive" DW sleeveless thor (was exclusive till HT decided to barely change anything and call it AOU Thor) and put that body on my avengers thor and the armored body on the DW thor. Below is the result. For some reason the avengers thor just looks 10X's better in a sleeveless display.

Looks good! As you compare the figures over the years, the growth of Hot Toys, for the most part, is clearly evident! Put that Avengers Thor next to the AOU version...leaps and bounds!

Thanks SilverStar17. I am loving the way these turned out. I need to get a no kidding camera instead of the iPhone LOL. HT really missed out on an opportunity for a true exclusive if they had done one of the avengers thor in sleeveless version with no cape. OMG that would have sold out in a nansecond.
