I only buy the small Kenner/Hasbro crap. That's what I grew up with as a kid, that's what I focused on. There's way too much Star Wars merchandise out there to have 1/6 too. Star Wars Collectibles have been going strong for 37 years. I figure it'll go on for another 40 and this Han and Chewie will be small potatoes/forgotten in the not distant future. :lol

Smart man. Thats precisely why I avoided this area for so long when I first registered. But I eventually bought in now, I'm ****ed.

I'm wondering now with Hot Toys showing the headsets for Han and Chewy if they will be building the Falcons cockpit or gunner stations?

There's way more 3 3/4" crap than there is 1/6th crap -- you must have a lot of money to get all those repeats and upgrades. Collecting 1/6th is still cheaper in the end.

Smart man.

Only if he sticks to buying like twenty to thrity little figures. If he goes for the whole galaxy, he's toast.

I haven't bought a 3 3/4er in a long time. They're awful now.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS 262 - Star Wars Episode IV - 1/6th scale Chewbacca Collectible...

Sometimes I wonder if some of you just love to complain for a living. Some other pieces look like crap, and I get it. But this?...

If you don't buy this, you are a terrorist.
:goodpost:

If they're making a good portion of the line 1/6, why would make a larger figure of the (arguably) most popular character and have it be out of scale? Not say they won't ever do it, but not before 1/6.

Because Sideshow are responsible for a large portion of their sales and are still selling a Vader. So it's safe to assume that a Hot Toys version won't be revealed until sometime after Sideshow is well done selling their's. This has been the pattern for licensed Star Wars characters over the past 10+ years.

According to that simplytoys Web site, Han is $329.90 retail and Chewie is $369.90. I don't know if those will be consistent with Sideshow's prices, but it looks like we'll be facing a $50 Star Wars surcharge on each figure.

Thank the gods I was way off the mark! Han's $230, Chewie's $255, $480 for the pair. simplytoys is price gouging.

Re: Hot Toys Chewbacca . . that is all

My point from the beginning of the whole 'real fur' debate. I just don't see this kind of thing being consistently good - I don't see it lasting over time either.

That said - it does look great, except the eye are needs tweaking, & the fur on his forehead needs more detail.

The main thing is.. THEY HAVE BEGUN. :yess: :rock

It will probably be fine as long as you don't play with him :)

Picked up the duo package :) Lol you only save $5 like wtf
