Holds up better than the stupidly over-animated PT version

You know it's still amazing to me how they got the mouth movements on that Chewie mask to look so believable and realistic. I'm not really sure how much of that was done by Mayhew himself and how much was controlled off camera, but it still holds up incredibly well.

The images some of these members are showing off look absolutely incredible! I hope the people who are actually sharing their talents aren't put off by those kinds of posts.

Thanks to everyone who's been sharing these last few days... Chewbacca looks like a fun figure.

What would you rather have?

A. A good looking Chewie

B. Horrible looking Chewie (straight out of the box look)

Nothing wrong with futzing your Chewie "doll."

I've learned to ignore these these kind of sad people (who collect dolls themselves) and they're actually few and far between. So no I'm not put off by these kinds of posts. Envy is a very strange thing.

Makes me wish Rocket Raccoon also had fur.

If they upgrade it for a Version 2 when the sequel comes out, i'll pick that up as well.

Styling Chewie's look has been quite fun so far. Everytime seems a step closer. Didn't even bother opening up Solo yet, its been laying in the box for 4 days already. Will eventually come around to him... want to take the hair sculpt out and slap Indy's fedora on it.. see if it looks good or not.

Hot toys needs to thank paramoremcr88 his pictures are starting to improve sales of this figure. I was waiting but looking at his great work made me pull the trigger.
Now where's my wifes hairspray.

I can participate in sport (specifically - running, climbing and combat sports with the odd game of whatever) but beyond a good fight I can't bring myself to watch sports. I appreciate the skill, strength and strategy needed but it bores me to sit and watch.

I think it's the obscene amounts of money the people that I'm supposed to admire make, playing games, that turns me off. I remember when footy players had to have real jobs like the rest of us.

I love some sports. Football, soccer, and fighting sports (boxing used to be great). I don't get baseball, golf, or Nascar. Never have, never will. I tried going to a baseball game once and fell asleep. It was horrible.

Anyway, back to Chewbacca. Excited to get him and hopeful I am able to get the hair to look like Para's picture. I prefer the RotJ look.

I was watching Empire yesterday and noticed Chewy has a lot of grey on his shoulder's. I have to watch Jedi later to see any other subtle detail's. I have been seeing any other thing's or xtra's for Chewy for him would be cool a Welding torch n shades, stormtrooper blaster ,air breather mask, handcuffs & chain 4 Boush leia pic's would be cool with her in disguise.

I have to admit that he looks pretty damn good when styled. Still, with as dusty as my place gets, trying to maintain that hair would be a nightmare unless I put him in a completely covered display case

This is a MUST buy.

If the fur starts coming out of the HT Chewie from constant combing maybe we can use this old hasbro one for "parts"



We've come along way when it comes to 1/6 Chewbacca's with "real" fur

Anyway, back to Chewbacca. Excited to get him and hopeful I am able to get the hair to look like Para's picture. I prefer the RotJ look.

He does look cool in ROTJ, but he was also starting to look a bit too much like a cute and friendly shaggy dog by that point I think. I prefer his ESB look the best, since it was a bit unkempt but still retained some of that fiercer ANH look he had.
