Looks great, Matrix!
just curious for those not keeping in glass, what will be the best way to clean dust from Chewie? my 2 pack just showed up and i dont have a detolf yet because i decided to payment plan Kenobi instead of getting one , and i feel like leaving them boxed up will make me nutty .
Do i use a paint brush? or air can? oorrrrr?
Well with the hair it'll probably take a while for it to actually be noticeable (unlike an armored figure like Robo or Iron Man), but I'm sure as with other figures you could just dust him off a bit with a soft brush. At least that's what I like to use on all my collectibles.
These guys look so good in person that these pictures don't speak the thousand words they should. View attachment 219945View attachment 219946View attachment 219947
Decided to lighten the face fur a tad on this guy. I'm in the 'less is more camp' and wanted something closer to ANH look. I just dry-brushed an acrylic paint mix to the face area and then some black into the forehead. Might tweak it a little more but happy with the results View attachment 219925View attachment 219923View attachment 219924View attachment 219922

Trying to think how much color to add to the face. He really has an almost human face - pale face area with darker "hair" on top and "moustache." The face fur is a lot lighter and more reddish than I remember, yet the untouched HT still looks decent.
Thanks for the great reference pic. Saved.
I was going to go for a RotJ style but that would take some hardcore face futzin'.
