My main problem with it is that the eyebrow arches on the dome have concentric foci to the arches of the eyelids on the ht sculpt....they are exaggerated.

It's not supposed to be as pronounced as the eyelids...but flatter. The eyebrow arches should have a wider arc....so his eyes don't look so doe-like.

The whole "face" looks a lot wider in the movie still, not only the flare of the helmet.
The eyes also look way too big on the HT figure, as if Vader was opening them wide...

Here are my main issues with the vader .

1. The gloves don't look like gloves but painted hands.

2 shoulder bells incorrectly mimics sideshow Anh version ( even kotobukiya has no problem there)

3. Helmet painted wrong around eyes affecting the look. Awkward dome shape.

I'll be happy enough , this late in the production, if they at the very least paint the inside of the eyelid and the edge of his eyelids BLACK....AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR THE ANH VERSION....

are sculpting the dome wild be a bonus.....

Somebody give them access to a vader helmet

Strangely enough, i dig the way they did the hands......its different, but I kinda dig it. And lets be honest, 99% of us aint starting at the hands. That is the least concerning aspect of it.

Thought I preordered this cause I am weak, my main concern is the

Dome shape

Lenses should be red

Seems really tall


Overall, its good. Not screen accurate enough for me to be 100% cool but its nice

Us SW nuts are the poster children for being picky - JKNO leading the charge no less!

We want accuracy.

I don't mind the concept of the hands, but the sculpt should look as if he were wearing motorcycle gloves, not latex surgical gloves...

The amber looking lenses would be a nice touch but not enough to affect his look considering half the time it looks black anyway.....the silver underneath s eyelid, the space touching the edge of the lens (and the edge of the eyelid for Anh) should be black because it affects the look greatly....he looks beady eyed, as if you can see the whites of his eyes, unless painted black. It's the same mistake made by many prop customizers as well as licensees.

Yes we do, but I feel like these toy companies can only do so much. The perfect Vader might not ever come out.

Its funny. I am so used to seeing my Sideshow vader with height & dome mods and the lforigno robes that I forget what the stock figure looked like.

Strange how the dome looks more flared in the promo pics,they hardly photoshopped it? Or maybe it's just whatever camera lens was used on that latest pic is making it look more narrow

Hot Toys is close... i would love to see them further tweak the helmet... capture more of the personality... i mean, this is Darth Vader... get it right.

Rebelscum put up some close up pics. Eye lenses ARE red. Looks really good to me.
