Finally ordered!

Given the tweaks and final product released with Han and Chewie, I have faith that Hot Toys will deliver another great product with Vader. Plus, as the new film approaches, I think there will be a rush on these products from people who don't go over them with a fine tooth comb like forum members here. I would hate to have missed out because I was pessimistic.

I wonder if this will actually release overseas in September or if it'll be delayed. Han and Chewie made schedule more or less so I'm wondering if Vader is about ready too.

I have the SS Deluxe and I want the HT 1/4 .... do I need this one as well? Arguments please :monkey3

Hmm, well I quite liked the Deluxe but I sold mine once this was announced. Both will have issues with accuracy but it's my feeling that those issues aside, this will be the finer Vader. You could keep your Deluxe and add this, though. That would give you both iconic Vader costumes. Don't know that I'd recommend selling the Deluxe unless you're OK taking a loss on it. Had to sell my exclusive about $50 under retail ($95 if I factor in shipping and taxes) to move it.

The biggest issue with the SS Deluxe is the helmet (though there are plenty of other inaccuracies with that figure). Since the helmet is the most iconic part of the Vader look, I wouldn't be able to settle for the SS Deluxe. However, if you are not caught up on details, a solution would be to just buy the Hot Toys helmet and throw it on the SS Deluxe. I am sure it will improve the deluxe figure quite a bit.

The HT 1/4 looks to be the most accurate so far, even though it is based off of ROTS.

Yeah, the money loss is what keeps me away from selling right away I guess. But then, having a headed version is nice too, at least from a distance. I definitely agree that HT is the finer figure, though.

I hear you. Fortunately I'm not too bothered by the inaccuracies. What bugs me the most on the Deluxe though is the suit, especially the thin arms etc.

Anyway, I'll keep him on PO for now and hope I can make up my mind soon. Otherwise it's just too many Vaders Lol Thanks for your thoughts guys :hi5:

A way to fix the skinny arms is to take off the suit and wrap the arms in toilet paper. It makes a big difference.

Definitely used. It makes Vader more threatening.

BTW, I actually meant paper towels. They are superior to toilet paper due to the more firm nature of the paper...at least for this purpose.

I'm shure that at the first "in hand picture" posted on the forum this figure will became a most wanted! And a lot od us , me first, will repent for not having preordered it.

so just out of curiosity - what darth vader version (not side show or hot toys) but what darth vader "movie" version between ROTJ and episode 4 do people prefer.
- also wondering if they will make the ROTJ version too at some point in time and hence my question.
