I cannot imagine them ever revisiting ANH Vader.

If they do an ESB/ROTJ Vader i would get that too.

ANH Vader with Stormtroopers and ESB with Bespin Luke.

Woah! Can't see the face well but the helmet looks great here. Also, looks like Luke hasn't been pushed to next year after all!

Just thought I would repost. I agree Vader does look much better here than in the original shots. Almost makes me reconsider passing. Almost.

Well its hard to tell but it looks like they lowered the dome onto the brow some, so he has less of that stupid surprised look.

I already have the Sideshow ANH and the 2.0. The one thing that bugs me about the Hot Toys is the gloved hands.

I already have the Sideshow ANH and the 2.0. The one thing that bugs me about the Hot Toys is the gloved hands.

Same for me... Along with the hands, I also don't like the tiny chest box and in the pic he looks a little bloated (that might just be the pose though), but height finally looks spot on for a Vader figure! I was hoping after all the spook rewards I'd possibly be able to pick him up for free or close to it. I'll just need to see him next to pictures of both SS versions to decide. Hope he is out soon.

they're codes that are listed either in newsletter e-mails or on social media. So far $30 have been given out. 2 $10 codes and 2 $5 codes.. I missed 1 $5 code last night in the AM. They are limited in the amount of time you get to redeem them, so you need to find em and react quickly.

Not sure - has it been tweaked? Looks somewhat the same, but it's a really blurry pic. Dome center line maybe looks wider, but maybe that's just a reflection. I've been sort of assuming they'd do a 2.0 on this one.

See those torso robes over his shoulder armor? The green button on the chest box? The distinct, worn, matte mask/helmet? That makes it ANH Vader.

Also horizontal not vertical lines on gloves, larger chest box, lower helmet, generally more battle-worn. Also more ruthless and cunning.

i also think ANH vader was smaller and had the overall A shape. empire and jedi , he was more thicker in the torso and squared off more in the shoulders. watching ANH, you really see the hemet to body ratio

The picture on the right has been heavily airbrushed.

It is (most of the HT promo pics were,) but they didn't change the structure of the sculpt, just made it more visible because the mask is so high contrast. Also, I degraded the proto image a lot so it would match the blurry production pic.
