Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

If its not tonight then its next week, right?

They're a day ahead, and I've never seen them release pics on our Fri or Sat (their Sat/Sun).

I usually get the updates at 6:00-7:00am UK time. So if not tomorrow morning than it will most likely be next week.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Between SS and HT there's a good chance we will get the entire original 12 Kenner "early bird" characters within the next year. If we get that I would be happy and amazed. As long as everyone looks good I'll keep my calipers away from them.
What - Sand People, Jawa & Death Squad Commander too?

Nah. :lol

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

This is probably one of the best attitudes to adopt regarding these toys, yes I say toys. In the end they will always look like a 12" figure, no matter how good. There will always be things they miss or don't get right. And I am super picky, that is why I usually stick with 1:1 stuff. 1:6 and 1:4 just cant capture the same nuances as 1:1. The irony in my collection is although I am privileged to be in the know regarding Disney/HT/SW I don't own any 1:6 figures. I have seen pics of the upcoming HT Vader figure from different angles and I will tell you right now...it is not perfect, its damn close and a whole lot better than what has been offered thus far. But in the end it is a 1:6 toy and it looks like it and will never look like a 1:1.

That sounds very promising. :)

Damn close is all I need:)
Would you say it's a better likeness than this example?
Ignore everything which is considered reveal.....just consider the vader facemask part: image.jpg

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

"close" would have been disappointing.
He said "damn" close.

Let us rejoice.

Damn close is promising!! Considering he's got a life size anh...Assuming it looks good....his opinion carries weight......:)

Yes I know Vader well :) 1:1 has mostly authentically sourced accurate parts.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

So no Vader specs this week. Hopefully next week.

Why would you say such a thing so early in the day?

Hot Toys updates come in the late evening. Most recent HT threads have been started after 9:00 PM PST.
