I'll be interested to see if you can use the HT Vader head on the SS version

I believe somewhere in this thread someone said that it it doesn't fit the neck peg. However, I am sure one could mod either the helmet or the next to fit.

I have Tony Meis Vader cape and tunic from a some years back. Gonna see how that looks on vader when i get mine from my supplier.

The lferigno one is good. But it takes so much WORK to get it to look good. Anytime I change a pose I have redo the entire cape/robe set and it takes far too much time.

I'm loving this figure. Replaced the hands with some hurc ones my mate kindly passed onto me and will be weathering the chest and belt boxes tomorrow.

Is this shipping from sideshow yet? I sold my SS Deluxe for retail and am ready to buy this one but I want to wait till December 2 when the rest is f my reward points kick in. I should have $218.00 of rewards so it should only cost me $92.00 shipped. Don't want it to sell out before I get a chance to order.

Seriously, though, glad you found a sucker willing to pay retail for an SSC Deluxe at this stage of the game (honestly I find it difficult to comprehend).

These aren't shipping out from SSC, yet, and even if they were, you can be confident they wouldn't be sold out by Dec 2nd. This ain't your first rodeo, son!

Well if it just broke in HK last week, then we're a good month away from it showing up at Sideshow. Plus there will be trouble in the Long Beach port no doubt this holiday season.

I expect Vader for Xmas, Sandtrooper for Jan. Luke could go either way. I'm betting there's only room on the boat for the mass of Vader orders though.

Just can't wait for this new one. I've had 3 Vaders and none has had me as excited as this one.

Had the Medicom ROTJ then realized it was too small.

Got the SS ANH and realized it was too big!

Then got the SS Deluxe ROTJ and he was just not!
So looking forward to a proper Vader.

Not everyone in the world is as **** as us in terms of accuracy. Plus there's quite a lot of licensed figure completist out there. There's still demand for the SS one.

Yeah if I had the money and space, I'd definitely be one of those people who'd want all the different Vaders lined up on a shelf together to see the evolution over the years.

I sold mine a broke even. You'd be surprised at the amount of people that still like the SS version. Its not bad my no means, just that the HT is more what I was looking for overall with the saber and accurate helmet.

Yours came with a TTM20 which adds to the value and may have been why you were able to sell it so high. I am going to keep mine. I have a Hurricane mask and dome coming which should help SSC Vader's inferiority complex.

And so is Yavin Ceremony Luke, lest we forget just how bad head sculpts used to be.

SS ESB/ROTJ Vader is respectable, standing in a corner in a passive pose with thighs and forearms padded.

He just won't ever take centre stage again, especially after HT Vader gets here.

And what's wrong with those!!! .... I know they're very dated compared to this guy, but unfortunately I have a problem in that if it's a Darth Vader collectible I feel the compulsion to buy it... So I still have those 3 with every intention of keeping them, and I even have all the crappy Hasbro versions too.
I'm still hoping eventually I'll find the ROTS Medi and 2.0 Medi for cheap enough to add those as well, then my 1/6 Vader collection will be complete. I have my original vintage 12" vader from when I was a wee kid too, and in pretty good shape too, but unfortunately missing his Light Saber.. I did miss the Gentle Giant retro vintage 12", no way I'm paying the price he goes for now. I was hopeing to get him cheaper than the $80 but I lost on that gamble... One day. There is a redo in a new 3 pack, maybe I'll find him loose. I'm a patient collector. Next will be SS McQuarie 1/6 Vader... I also have I think every 3 3/4" and 6" to date too... Even the obscure 8" Real Action Heroes kit Tomy did... And many many other Vader collectibles, statues, movie replicas.... I think I need to seek counseling.

Somehow I have my doubts with this one. His gun's good though.

He was my cheapest mint boxed Sideshow at £9. I knew he was bad at the time, but thought at that price I might be able to use parts of him.

I put him on display for the first time ever yesterday - on a narrow shoulder body with the Hoth Luke bare head.

That's one of the few SS Star Wars figures I did not get, though I have many now that I wish to unload. Sith eyes Anakin, Plo Koon, Bespin Han...

There's quite a few living in their boxes in the attic. The funny thing with them is that even though they're not displayable as intended, they often have good parts on them - gun belts, guns, clothing, gear - such as the Rebel Commandos. So I don't want to part with them, even though I'll probably never get round to doing anything with them.

There are also some good ones that just don't fit the display at the moment - Jabba, Bib Fortuna, the two creature packs. Though I do have Salacious Crumb out, as he's pretty cool.
