Congrats Wor!

What do you think of him? Any chance seeing him next to Chewbacca. Also, I've noticed in a lot of shots of Vader he seems to have scratch marks on his cheek area. I see them in your shots as well. Do those scratches stand out with him in hand? I know light from the flash may accentuate the lines. ~thanks

I don't have too much time to really get into him today, but so far I think he's terrific. I'll know more on Monday -- which is the first day I'll have to really study this guy.

But the helmet looks great. The "scratches" and "weathering" is not too noticeable in hand -- due to scale -- but you can see it. But it only adds to the overall authentic look of the helmet. I don't have the SSC ESB/ROTJ Vader to compare -- but this Vader helmet is far, far superior to the old SSC ANH Vader helmet.

The flecks and scratches and battle-damage -- at this scale -- is really quite incredible.

Behold....

Man, that looks fantastic. Was going to ask what you thought of the helmet, so glad you like it. Called SSC earlier today and tried to bump my Vader's last payment from 25th to today, but no dice. Was able to pay for my Sandtrooper, though, so looking forward to that.

I'm trying to retire my old camera (that many of you know all too well) and move on to my phone camera -- which is clearly better (as seen above). But the phone needs lots of light which isn't always possible where I work with my figures.

Anyway -- YES, Vader helmet is just outstanding. Widow's Peak, glassy eyes and all.

I expect to love the entire figure just as much once I get the plastic off him. Really -- really -- excited by this figure. And so happy to have him the Day the new Star Wars movie opens. Just fitting.

The ClipperKing review talks about the scratches, etc. on the cheeks and they appear to be movie accurate; he was impressed by their presence.

Yeah, the right cheek has more of a "seared paint" look while the left side looks more like brushed metal. It's quite amazing they went that extra mile in detail.

Looks good Wor. can't believe you already got yours!

Damn, that helmet looks great WG. Nice pics.

Thanks guys!

Dammit, that does look good... sigh...what to do...what to do...?

Yep....

I'm actually a bit underwhelmed with mine.

The suit is pretty baggy in all areas. It gives a weird overall impression, kinda. ]

I did notice that the arms on mine had more than enough material and felt a little baggy too. I'm so used to the skin-tight SSC version.

But this allows for more articulation. Hopefully the bagginess won't show. Never noticed it on anyone else's.
