the front facing edge of the ANH brows are painted black...

You think that will solve the issue? Just flat black acrylic? Sure would like to leave the helmet alone for this OCD insanity but I always liked that the dome's "brows" served as Vader's brows in ANH.

The dome in that scene is actually sitting higher than it is on the HT figure. He's just looking down, but even at that angle the widow's peak isn't even touching the top edge of the upper nose groove, so is actually about RotJ dome height. The reason you cannot see the eyebrows is because the front facing edge of the ANH brows are painted black, unlike ESB where they are gunmetal.

And the lenses aren't red. They are an amber color and the "red" people see is Prowse's (the actor) skin color shining through coupled with the lighting on set.

I remember seeing prowess eyes in some of the scene`s of the movie. it looked red as of lighting effect

yep that`s one of them. I would like to repaint the eye lenses but don't know how good they would turn out or even show up. I think lowering the helmet like I did makes a big difference. I even painted the eye brows as well

here is another shot of my vader with the helmet lower. it might not look like much but it is as before you could see the brows but not much any more.

You are using the Sideshow ESB chest armor? Why?

ok folks... here are some comparison pics, just for fun, and the inner guts of the HT helmet! (I heavily modified the SS head... and it was early in my mod stages... so be kind!)

kaiyodo chest armor that`s what hurricane made for me. because I ask them if the side show ANH vader armor was accurate and they no because of the shape and the shoulder bells were wrong as well

it`s the only version I have besides the shinny HT chest armor and I don't want to paint that I want it original

Anyway, thanks for the COMP. I think the HT is better in every way.

So now the question is -- do you sand down the raised area plus the square in the dome? Will that make the helmet more ANH? Or would just painting the brows?

There's no doubt about the fact that ss chest armor is totally off, but what about ht one? Do you think that kaiyodo/hurricane works better?
