OK, so take it off and take a picture like you said you would. And while you're at it take a picture of the lighter faced Chewbacca SS sent you -- you never posted that either.

I'm beginning to wonder if you always tell the truth, know what I mean? :)

ok this is what the helmet looks like with the dome off. it looks like the prop almost as I was looking at pictures of the mask. ok here are pictures of the mask with out the helmet the third picture shows the big whole in the center of the helmet . and the other shows the inside of the helmet what it looks like after I sanded down the square the attaches to the head sculpt and you can see what I did . I have not decided yet if I want to place some rounded magnets it yet or not .and this is what it looks like after you done and put back together.

Cool that it actually has a mounting system. The real ANH didn't have that.

Incidentally: the real screen used ANH Vader face mask has likely been found to reside in a private collection in France. :)

Its kinda hard to notice the difference, maybe after better pics are posted??

Not sure if worth risking damage to the helmet at this point.

Could you post more pictures of the lowered dome from different angles? I can't tell if it looks more accurate or not.

:clap Thank you, general!

So looks like if you cut/dremmel the square on the head you could get the dome lower.

so far I did not do anything to the sculpt I did not want to ruin it. I got as far as I could with the dremel. it made it a little lower just enough to cover his eyebrows. I guess you could try to sand down the nub on the helmet to go lower but I like I said I did not want to.
