the stuff inside the helmet looks like it's there to hold the helmet in place. the nub on the head is the height spacer. that has to be sanded down to lower the helmet. that's what I'll be doing.

Agreed. The raised round area on the head, right? Just knocking that down by one-third would probably cover the brow line and give that lower helmet look.

If the inside top of the dome rests on the top of the mask, taking down the square peg will do nothing. Just saying...wouldn't want people to do all that work for nothing.

I'm sorry, guys, I tried looking through the previous pages, but that can be needle haystack kind of thing as you know. Just gat my Vader this week. It there a best way to get the belt boxes closer to the buckle? The Velcro is making me nervous. Don't won't to break the tabs, and I know this belt itself is pretty delicate too. What should I do? Thanks!

What do you suggest?

I bent the box "hooks" that hold onto the belt outward -- VERY SLOWLY AND GENTLY! But once they are bent a bit they slide right over the Velcro -- then reshape and naturally tighten into place.

You just have to very, very carefully move the boxes over - ya have to force it through the velcro parts a tad........go slow - that belt is very fragile!

Thanks you guys. I just needed the courage to know it would work if I just tried sliding slow and gentle. Worked just fine! What a great community you guys have here. Thanks for taking a few minutes to help out a lowly <30 poster with such a simple question. :)

Here's a movie still I took that I will use as a reference when I get mine. Notice the red eyes, the lighter gun metal and slightly more shine to the helmet.

Dome looks a bit better lowered. If only the face were a bit wider it would be perfect

The eyes have a bit of tint to them on the figure. If someone were brave enough, they could maybe crack the face mask apart and color the inner side of the lens. But that is going to a whole other level of detail haha

I know that I'm not invited at the party, but I've to thanks hot toys for the parts added to my vader. Hope this sharing doesn't hurt anyone.

The dome in that scene is actually sitting higher than it is on the HT figure. He's just looking down, but even at that angle the widow's peak isn't even touching the top edge of the upper nose groove, so is actually about RotJ dome height. The reason you cannot see the eyebrows is because the front facing edge of the ANH brows are painted black, unlike ESB where they are gunmetal.

And the lenses aren't red. They are an amber color and the "red" people see is Prowse's (the actor) skin color shining through coupled with the lighting on set.
