Finally got both arms to go straight down.

Here is a quick pic. Will take another shot after I fix the pose and futz the cape some more when I get the chance.

i need to get those arms down as well. excellent idea brother :clap

I stole this pose; perfect - nice and simple. The stock figure on my Vader seems to flare with the left arm, but not so much with the right....the saber holding one. Is your Dome stock or did you lower it?

Thanks! Yes the left is more obvious. mine was because of how the cloth/leather folded on the armpit. you could pull sleeve out while putting the left arm down and see if that will help. it helped a bit on mine.

It's stock. that might be the next one I'll work on. I want to lower the back of the dome.

Yeah, I that looks much better. Hate how is arms flare out on the stock one

Thanks! Same here. I thought it was fine but it affects how the cape drops, making him look wide (which is not bad, just not my preference).

Fantastic pics, chobits and Coco. :duff

I absolutely love this shot, very nice. Good stuff.

Thank you Guys!

There'll be others, and you'd think they'd be better than this one.

Yeah, let's hope so. Ditch the sound feature and you're halfway there.

The fugly glove shrouds and the ponderous sound feature will be selling points rather than detriments.

:lol

:clap That definitely looks like it could be 1:1.

Just wish the lenses actually looked redish

For me it's the stupid nose plug/insert. I put that as my top annoying thing since it's on the face, then the beefy legs/bubbly suit (mainly stands out to me on the legs). Found this behind the scenes shot where you can see Vader's legs a bit better. Still looks like the ANH Sideshow Vader got the suit the best. Need to track one down. Then after those things it's the shiny hands.

The lenses were never reddish but amber. This Vader is really accurate, the lenses are amber as they should be.

Fair enough. In some shots of the movie it was very obvious - maybe just the way the lights hit the lenses...in natural light, it seems less obvious, I guess...

David Prowse always had such expressive body language for Vader. Something I always wonder if he's given enough credit for. Decided to give him a slight lean:

And still have to clean up the excess 'damage' paint on the boxes and belt buckle...

I wonder if it would be possible to take the suit off and press it between something heavy in order to reduce some of the licorice strips look

When I was younger, maybe 10 years old or even younger, I remember being at a card/memorabilia show with my dad where the headliner was a professional sports athlete. While we were there browsing through the tables of memorabilia, there was someone sitting at a side table also there to sign autographs, but there was absolutely nobody around his table getting autographs. Figuring he had to be someone notable being that he was there signing autographs, we went over to find out.

Turned out it was David Prowse, as he had a bunch of Darth Vader pictures there with him. Nobody there knew who he was since he was the one actually wearing the armor and obviously JEJ is more synonymous with Vader being that he voiced him. We ended up talking to him for a bit and got a few signed pictures from him.

That is a pretty nice story. I've seen Anthony Daniels in person twice during Star Wars in Concert, but the only famous person I've actually met is Yanni. He's an awesome musician.

Harrison Ford was at my job a couple weeks back, and visits my town often but unfortunately I've never seen him.

I've met Anthony Daniels twice. At Celebration I and III. Both times a complete prick. Just a rude self absorbed person.
