I've changed the armor to the sideshow v1. I am going to repaint it. Thoughts?

Nooooo!

14 day arrival notice and Vader will finally be here. May have to contact Twelveinchfigures if he has any backdrops for Vader and my storm trooper set. So excited about this beautiful figure coming soon.

Grab a black leather belt from eBay, and glue the buckle and boxes onto it. Put the belt on backwards so the buckle is at the back.

If your not comfortable doing the mod, I could work on it for you. I'd hate to see you sell off all you SW figures over something like that.

Thanks for the idea man. I wish his belt was like the OT Stormtroopers or Kylo Ren with the velcro at the back.

I'll send you the sideshow belt for free. don't give up!

Haha thanks. I will keep that in mind depending on what SS says. I of course would give you some $$$.

Relax Bustajesse -- I'm sure once Sideshow gets more Vaders in -- April 7th apparently -- they'll have more replacement belts for you.

I hope so but it is way past 30 days.

No need to fret.

Several pages back in this thread, a user posted a pretty good tutorial of a solution for fixing a broken belt. You essentially just cut out a rectangular piece (same width as the belt) of the black tray that the figure came in and glue each separate piece of the broken belt onto it. As opposed to simply freely gluing the two belt pieces together, the retangular piece from the figure tray acts as a brace.

Broken belts with this figure have been a pervasive issue, so people have come up with pretty good fixes for this.

That is a really good idea.

Thanks for all the advice and support everyone. I am more optimistic now.

Glad to hear! :duff

I'm so excited! I know it's been said a few times already, but earlier today when I got my shipping notice from Sideshow, I nearly jumped through the ceiling at work! Like most, since it's announcement I've been anticipating how this Vader would turn out. I didn't have the guts to PO him until December when a bunch of in hand pics and mods started flowing here. I have to thank everyone who has participated in this thread (I've been keeping up, and have read over 10,000 posts). You guys have made this one of my most anticipated figures I'll ever own! I love being a part of this community!

So that would mean the exp. delivery at SS Apr. 7th was right on the money! Love it when a plan comes together. :D

So I did the "glue piece of plastic tray" belt fix. Works great. I can definitely feel that the buckle is stronger now. It is holding and I got him all reposed. Life is good again lol.

Extremely glad to hear that! :clap :duff

Always consult with the Freaks first before doing anything rash or getting frustrated. Somebody here always knows something. :lecture :lol

I don't know if you guys can notice, but I've modded the arms so they could go down straight as well... bad thing is the left arm is so stubborn that even with the cuts on the side of the pectorals or underneath the armpit, it still wont go down straight.

I don't own this figure. But what do you mean... the arms are not able to go down straight? o_O

I think what's being referred to here is the suit restricting arm movement. This makes it tough (maybe even impossible) to lay the arms down flush with his side (Similar to Stealth/Strike Suit Captain America from Winter Soldier).
