Is the Medicom stand having the clear pole in the middle or on one side? The reason I didn't do the same (though I have an extra Medi stand) is because the one I own doesn't have the hole in the center, and the whole display was a unbalanced compared to my Sideshow stand method.

Ugggghh I just noticed the belt on my Darth Vader was broken. Was setting up my display and moved him to the shelf and the belt just fell off. Looks like it was just held on by the Velcro. I emailed Sideshow but since I got him back in December I am not very optimistic. There are not any belts on EBay and even if there were I am not spending over $100 Canadian on one, especially when Vader was probably like $450 Canadian.

Basically if I can't get a replacement I am parting out Vader and selling him. Selling the rest of my Hot Toys Star Wars figures and cancelling my remaining pre orders. I'm too old for this $4it.

The pole is only on one side, but no balance issues and it's pretty stable.

That seems a bit extreme, no? Can it be glued back if you can't get a replacement?

No it can't be glued. The end of the belt with the plastic piece that pegs onto the buckle is completely torn off. The leather is apparently like tissue paper. I wasn't even touching the belt and it ripped somehow. I wasn't hamfisting, I wasn't posing him, I wasn't trying to take the belt off. The plastic parts and everything are fine, it is just the leather.

I paid like $330 USD for this thing and now without the belt he looks super derpy. Im not dumping more money into an already overpriced figure. If I don't have "Darth Vader" what is the point? I am not buying another one just for the belt just so it can happen again. If I am too paranoid too handle poseable figures I may as well just collect statues.

I am just super bummed. I have picked up every OT figure so far and to have the main villain missing sucks.

Grab a black leather belt from eBay, and glue the buckle and boxes onto it. Put the belt on backwards so the buckle is at the back.

If your not comfortable doing the mod, I could work on it for you. I'd hate to see you sell off all you SW figures over something like that.

I'll send you the sideshow belt for free. don't give up!

I've changed the armor to the sideshow v1. I am going to repaint it. Thoughts?

No need to fret.

Several pages back in this thread, a user posted a pretty good tutorial of a solution for fixing a broken belt. You essentially just cut out a rectangular piece (same width as the belt) of the black tray that the figure came in and glue each separate piece of the broken belt onto it. As opposed to simply freely gluing the two belt pieces together, the retangular piece from the figure tray acts as a brace.

Broken belts with this figure have been a pervasive issue, so people have come up with pretty good fixes for this.
