I bought those old sideshow ANH vader gloves off ebay. might give them the leather inside shot like matrix did with his.

Now that's a R1 pose. I was thinking of doing that pose when my Vader comes.

Though admittedly if I were going to get a R1 Vader, that's probably the pose I'd have him in also. I mean that last scene...

If we go by what the star wars guy said about Vader changing suits for what he's doing, then technically this is the Vader at the end of rogue one. Figure the reason HT did the gloves this way was so that the light up saber could be be swapped.

Great picture.

They're essentially one in the same, the way I see it. The R1 armor is just a shinier version of his ANH armor. Both wear their tunics over the shoulder armor. If one doesn't already have this figure I'd say go for the R1 figure (being that it doesn't have all the needless electronics), but if one already has this figure, I'd say no need for R1 Vader and/or just stick with this one.

I'm quite happy with this guy myself. The more I take him out to make little minor futzes to him here and there, whether it be the way his cape drapes, his tunic or the placement of his belt around the waist, I like it more and more. I'd like to pick up the parted out R1 figure's scuffed up belt and boxes one day for this figure.

Absolutely nothing. Just slid the belt boxes over the Velcro so they're closer to the buckle, raised up the belt a bit on his waist, did some futzing with the tunic regarding where it lays over his shoulder armor as far as how much of the grey stripes are showing on each side of the black stripes based on images from the film, and just futzed the cape to get it to drape the way I want it.

Basically, stock.
