I am buying...without an exclusive I'll wait but no question whether I'll own it. I'll look for the less expensive place to buy them grab it. If it doesn't sell out then I'll wait until released and look for the deals on the board...

Put the tunic robe underneath the shoulder armor and you'd have a decent Episode III Revenge of the Sith Vader. Looks pretty similar to that one.

I think people are looking at this through Hot Toys colored galsses. Don't know what makes it differ so much from SSC Vader aside from maybe some minuscule details only very few people would notice. I'm just going to go on living my life without this figure. I am happy for those who are looking to get into the HT SW line, however.

This always makes me laugh. The interest earned probably doesn't even cover the cost of administration of those deposits.

$30 each deposit from thousands of customers would be good interest to be made (Free money) just for sitting on people's deposits...figure it out ;)

Damn, didn't realize it would be that expensive.... You guys think this will go to waitlist fast? I feel like I should wait a few months to use a coupon but don't want to risk it if this will go like an EX...

I doubt people will be lining up to get this somehow.

Yup, Teemu's right. And I'm the first one to admit whenever he's not (90% of the time).

SSC makes bank on these deposits. And specially for those who cancel like there's no tomorrow.

Interest is pretty much zero in the US right now and depending on the types of accounts they use (need to be at call) and state legislative requirements for how they hold deposits and it's not much. Heck, the banks credit card surcharge % they pay on transactions is probably higher than their credit interest rate on deposits before you factor in any other admin costs.

Trust me, Sideshow is not sitting on a pile of pre-order money rubbing it's hands with glee at all the interest they are going to earn.

Yeah, what the hell is up with that price tag?? He's not even made of die-cast... :lol

Is there a good chance an ESB or ROTJ Vader will be released? I actually like him better without the cloth covering his shoulder/chest armor. Also want a green ligthsaber... :wink1:

I know what the interest rates are going for and Banks interest rates are very low,but sitting on $30,000 or $60,000+ of people's money for a whole year in FREE MONEY...and there are other ways to invest that money ;)

I seriously hope you don't work as a financial advisor.
