So far Kenobi is disappointing... but on the plus side I feel great that I can skip this release and just keep my customized SS figure.

I will keep an eye on the accessories and what-not as I could see upgrading a few bits here and there. So I might still buy a full figure, but with the intent of parting out what I don't need.

Well, resemblances to other people or not (which I always find kind of amusing), bottom line for me it's an underwhelming preview of a figure that should have been a homerun for HT given their usual quality. The very reason I was interested in this line is somehow vanishing.

Probably get flamed for this, but this Alec Guinness is probably the most accurate looking of all the Hot Toys SW figs revealed this year. If it was just one of their figs that was off I wouldn't mind, but they are all so off the line itself no longer feels like it's a must buy.

I'm disappointed. That said, I'll probably get over it and end up with most anyway because I'm like, you know, an idiot. But as it stand, a couple of Stormtroopers are the only "locks" at the moment for me and maybe Vader depending on his price.

I think it is just the eyes that are putting the headsculpt off.they seem narrow in the hs.

Sounds like an eerily familiar tune. The masked figures are great, humans? Not so much..

I'm not one to preach HT superiority over Sideshow except in examples where it's embarrasingly obviously so. I have been collecting figures for too short a time for developing loyalties like that. But looking at the awesome (I probably use that word a liitle too often but in this case it is justified) Mike Tyson in the general figure forum I have to ask myself why the **** can't the Star Wars figures look half as good as Tyson? Perhaps the security in knowing these figures will sell no matter what.

Yep, the detailing is nice and it looks more modern than SSC's Ben, but it's definitely not a big likeness upgrade, like I would've expected. I'll grab the two pack and hope it get tweaked by release. Will be cool if it comes with an eyes closed sculpt, too.
