It's a really good Bernard Hill from Lord of the Rings.
The hyperbole is strong in this thread.
Yeah, a few good critique posts, but alot of it is goofy as **** "one ups" to get a better laugh than the last poster.
Which is pretty much why I don't frequent these forums much anymore, all bs.lol
No good posting an opinion. It'll just get ripped apart by someone. Oh what the heck.
I love my SS Ben. It looks great. A little soft in details and smoothed out features but a really good representation of the character capturing his essence. I've always thought SSC head-sculpts were just a bit too oversized and this one is no exception. I may regret selling this one after the HT Ben is in hand but I've always wanted them to tackle all Star Wars characters. So bring on the Kool-Aid.
On the other hand I look at the new version and really wonder if it's worth the "upgrade". Upgrade in price as well as supposed detail but I think HT missed the mark. It's a great sculpt and I'm excited to see them tackle face characters but I think I'm seeing more of my ideal than what's actually there.
Kool-Aid wearing off?
It's a great sculpt and I'm sure it will be tweaked and painted with a bit more detail before its shipped but at this point it still has me questioning myself, "Do I need it?"

Hey, Richard Chamberlain, at least, is not any random human!
This is the pure truth - from a certain point of view of course (mine):
Obviously the HT version, that's a stupid question. If given the choice right now would people rather purchase the sideshow version for $60.00 or the hot toys version for $260.00.
